.177 rapid with a better barrel and a little porting will go 40FTlbs remember the saga about this gun on the BBS B Taylor tried three different times and couldnt do it ..AWT done it in a couple of hours..Superb accuracy .Believe the user was on the BBS as ATHEO. you wouldnt get many shots from a 177 at 40ftlb not only that i dont think it would be very accurate as the pellets would be all over the place at that speed Sorry but accuracy is spot on on these guns mentioned owned by Atheo and Lionell .I was the one who instigated the the conversions .I actually shot the first quarry

Same as that .I just think the layoff she had here got her fit then she went to kennels and didnt make any mistakes .Now up in yorks and doing all .Hindsight is a wonderful thing she should have had 6 weeks off to get 100% fit then moved .. Anyway she is a nice quiet bitch who still earns her keep.
