  2. small lurchers unfortunately seem to be out of fashion at the moment which is a shame because you can have alot of fun working small lurchers,i own a collie cross and she stands at 20.5 at the shoulder and she catches plenty of rabbit and hare.a lot of lads these days seem to be into deer and fox,and overlook the smaller nimbler type of lurcher, favouring the large powerful types.if your into ferreting and lamping rabbit i think the smaller type of lurcher has the advantage over the larger type. regards collie john. what type of small lurcher is you collie cross

  15. i had a go with fillis but found it too thick to get the knots to bite properly. get some hemp to start with its only a tenner or less a spool and is the best to learn with imo. the hardest bit is tying the first row of knots onto the ring and not having the knots slipping, takes me ages. but once youve done that bit it isnt too bad just patience and remember to keep everything tight. good luck maty spun nylon is the best like hemp but does not rot

  17. Best way to snare a rat is get an old lady to lie on the ground with her handbag wideopen. When scummy spotty young rats try to take the bait whack em on the head with a really thick and heavy stick. You should have no problems with this method .Cheers. Let me know how many you kill. Ah the "dead fall" system - crude but effective  i got 20 last time works well you shoult trie it
  18. you will still get them in the shed
  19. i think the are old rat holes not moles
