    hi I have a 2 year old springer bitch and when she's retrieving a dummy or any game, she gets close to me and then just circles round me. i thought she might just grow out of it but she hasnt, anyone got any tips on how i can get her to stop her doing it please, thanks

    Pish bout flicking light a rabbit runs on scent not sight so it knows where it's running i'm sure the rabbit has loads of time to follow a scent with a dog up its backside

    just outside southport we have the same sort of cross before but it was gwp x coursing saluki cross, they were very good lampers so we have done this cross now thinking there will be alot me gameness there. but the others were very game anyway

    Dont belive the "Hype" Averageing 15 a week in Jan Sold for £7500 There bred as a "stop gap" while a certain someones ban is up, on -"wizz-bang"- off Very handy on smaller land and average quarry the shorty bitch had 114 from 123 last season killed her first 62 without missing, and was sold for 5k the quarry must be no good pal very tricky but not outstanding, we got a bitch here though and she ran 167 in one season and she missed 5/6 and i would say 90% were on the fens out of the 5/6 she missed 1 was in the forley legends and other 2 were in other comps

    i'm not saying its possible to kill a 100 rabbits i'm saying its not impossible for a dog to have a 100 rabbit runs and need carrying off the fields! but the answer to your question would be if you was out for 5 hours then the dog would have to do that in about 3 mins each time, (5x60=300) (300/100=3 mins)

    if a dog is super fit, had wind and was given things such as electrolytes etc how can a 100 rabbit runs be impossible when you compare it to a coursing dog that might have 5 runs 3/4/5 mins a time

    do you think hunting if it misses mite be a problem guys and gwp can be very head strong and deaf at a distance alot of time needed used pure pointers on grouse and woodcock and the nose has seen to be beleived and they can be mental. cant fault them for stamina will run all day. had a bitch was gwp dog over a coursing bitch, she was very good lamping dog would tackle anything, she didnt hunt up but what she started to do was on rabbits squatting she would trot up to them and then lock on point was funny at the time but got abit annoying. got some pups due in a week gwp bitch to a 1st c

    I dont believe that you are in a position to be able to comment Hunter....on the contrary I do believe that the Black Assasin is quite knowledgable when it comes to history of running dogs, here in Ireland. Credit , where credit is due.
