  5. The bitch was lacking, the pups were all poor,my yoke pulled a fox at Almost 3 years old and took a bite, left it go and wouldn't go back in,...now I don't concentrate on fox but when one comes up I expect a decent effort,so he was gone,a few more were worse than him,
  6. Time will tell what I've got...lol
  7. Here's a field I came across a few weeks ago, loads of beds where the deer are sitting ,and a clear path from where they travel,...so I let it alone and then checked it a month ago,..I walked down and the beds were still visible,in different areas from the last beds ,so they use the field a lot ,while I left it for a bit,I checked it last week, and while walking down I saw 2 nice stags ,,.so turned on my heels and left em undisturbed, soooo I'm thinking this might be a good spot for a lick, and a shot ,cause I'm not sure my mutts are up to the job,..,.next season could get interesting lol
  8. I was wondering, horse, sheep or cattle lick or does the one lick do em all type of thing
  9. I was thinking a salt lick over the far side of the lake and maybe a windy night,he dissapeared,....never to be seen again lol
  10. I covered my saluki bitch with him a few years back and hold my hands up,the whole litter turned out shit, the dam to the pups at a later date kinda jacked on teeth so I put it down to a bad choice on my side, his son was a nice long lean fast ...USELESS barsteward.....live and learn.. That's the cur below,
  11. This BOLLIX of a deer was not shy either, right cross fecker,....I've a grand black saluki bred feller here I'd like to introduce to him but the stags a bit of a celebrity,in the area.so tread carefully as they say lol
  12. Nah never did..too late now lol.. ,I'm not a keen fan of breeding dogs,..I was going to put him over my greyhound bitch here, but have too many dogs at the minute and doing little with them,I was always keen to breed from him but the right bitch or the right owner never came along....I was asked to put him over a pure whippet but refused, not what I'd want, and a traveller rang me up a few years ago telling me he wants the stud services of sonic but he wants to see him on deer ,fox, hare first.....I told him to go fuk off, even though his bitch was supposed to be lethal.but I wouldn't get invo
  13. Was out this morning with the OAP and we came across a Sitka stag, standing on the path....the old dog was studying him and the deer made a bit of a charge at him,and old sonic ,ran behind me,and it made me realise how sad it is to see him acknowledging he's done and dusted,...when he was a younger dog you'd have to be holding his collar tight or he'd have him on his back..I was slightly saddened to see it but that's old age for ye,....we've come to the conclusion he's going deaf as well, and his back legs ain't what they used to be...I had to lift his back end up into the car and he struggled t
  14. Pick up the crap I do,then bleach, scub with a brush,...twice a week, pine, and squeegee every time, the floors dry in no time, thankfully I've a woman here that does the kennels most mornings, when I'm at work, and a son that does them occasionally, after work,so I get off lightly at times
  15. I use that a lot too,but I bleach first,then that diluted with water,squeegee off and sorted
  16. Reading on here I had it 6 weeks,I never spoke to the vet as the daughter went for me,the sooner he gets his leg over the better for us all

    Silly lad

Maybe there was a motive to his madness
  19. Well he's in for a ball as soon as it's time to do his duty, these 3 tramps are waiting on his services lol... hopefully he'll chill the feck out then
  20. I've kept working staffs, pits, some reared in the house, none were ever left with any of our children alone, but not one ever showed any signs of hostility towards any human,...I had a lurcher in the 90's he was full time indoors,my first born was 3 years old and he was crawling around the floor, the dog was 7 ,he growled at the child while I was in the room a foot away from him....a deep menacing growl,he never saw the sofa or the child again ,the only dog that ever dared to act the cnut
  21. A lot of it is down to the fur mummy /dog is part of our family thinking, people got to realise their not on the same mental stimulus as people, they need to have boundaries, rules and a little domination by the owners, pack rules and the dog is down the list,I always wondered if the parents are the pack leaders, are the dogs looking at very young kids as a challenge to their place in the pecking order ,and assert their dominance over the only ones they can......or maybe I'm talking bollix
  22. Yeah,time change,folk mellow,it couldn't stay as it was back then
  23. I remember an Indian family about to move in to a house in an estate in ballyfermot, they were warned not to move in,and a few days before they got the keys, the house was burned and guted,..needless to say they went elsewhere
