  1. you can fetch a jagdterrier from anywhere in europe unless of course the uk, but i believe that someone has a one or two. the best working bloodlines are from eastern europe and of course from germany. also in Spain you can find very good ones, breeding like proper way and with various bloodlines. i've found some good ones from 300€ to 600€/700€ (depends if pup or full grown) from german and tcheck bloodlines and with a wide range of structure and weight. mine was a little high price but now it worth every euro. he is from german and tcheck bloodlines, despite he and one brother

  3. here we mainly use little podengo or medium podengo. both are hard on trail and pursuit. never saw a ratonero work, here mainly jagd, fox and jack russel for the terriers and podengos (lots of them). they are crossed with everything for the wild boar packs. best regards

  9. "The Kennel Club has welcomed a Bill tabled today in the House of Lords by Liberal Democrat Peer, Lord Redesdale, which would repeal the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and Dogs Act 1871. The Kennel Club, which runs the secretariat for the Dangerous Dogs Act Study Group (DDASG), has long been calling on the government to repeal the current legislation and believes that it is the breed specific nature of current legislation that has caused it to fail. Focusing on individual breeds has not prevented a large number of dog attacks. Lord Redesdale’s ‘Dog Control Act’ will do far more to protect t

  11. i've read also gamedogs from ed faron and the books from rocca. there are some recent books from the eastern europe that are very good, mainly because it tells when and how they import the fisrt dogs but all of this with this type of pitdogs as an issue. i've read one enormeous book called "the game" from a german author with the old kind and types of hunting dogs, hunting european traditions, game and etc. find it very good. read now the shaun (baker i believe) book about irish and english terrier and i also liked very much. very nice dogs, but what i liked most was the half &

So true as most people think he was a famous fighting dog but he was a great producer of fighting dogs like Bolio or chinaman even the eli & redboy stuff & they really were breed millions of tmes and have become huge influences in todays dogs, when you think of fighting pits no one can say that was the best dogs but afew come to mind like Zebo, i even heard some good of colbys pinscher then further back we go to the boyles stuff & armitage pits, i like youself butch find this subject fascinating, more for the heritage it brings up & all the history that we can still look at tod

  18. in south europe is the main working terrierdog (there is some fox, jack and teckel also), both for above and underground work. you are right on the range issue but with proper introduction to the game i have been with some hunting and fetching gamebird, digging up fox and hunt and trail wild boar. highly territorial and some bloodlines very agressive but i have seen them working in packs with 3 jagds or a couple of jagds working with some dogos. they have a big heart and his mind is hunting all the time, capable of hunting hours and hours after their prey. noiser little dogs! merry chr
