Hi all , after longers7 kindly sorted me catapult, I decided to try making em myself and got wel into it , the two tone hawthorn was my first then done another hawthorn (front) of trio pic , a oak to the right , and a hazel at the back then a couple more got made ,let me no what ya think lads , and let me no if photos are viewable http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn199/ nightstalkerpro/20140508_234713.jpg

Hi all , just a bit of advice on treatment for this wound, happened this morning having a mooch , think barbwire was culprit, on pursuit of rabbit, bathed in saltwater and keeping clean , would you suggest anything different for it , I:e stitches etc , its purely skin removed , all comments would be appreciated

Hi all , put a good hob to a nice jill to carry em on as have been great workers, and want to hold couple back,nice litter of kits born last tues 14th have left the jill to em , havent checked as of yet, just a question for you all ,when will the kits require meat as appose to her milk , im planning on 3 weeks from birth, would you agree ,or earlier , many thanks

  8. Cheers , just a few people saying that she be to old ,being shes not had a litter before, etc etc , obviously any whelping could have complications, but you would say that 6 is a acceptable age? Is this something you have done ..ie bred dogs of that age , with good results, cheers for the replys .richard

Hi all, i have a bedy x whippet lurcher who has done very well for me,now occasionally ill join a good friend on digs with his jrt's and enjoy the graft,what id like to know is if anyone on here did or does keep /work strait bedlington terriers(working) ,would love to hear peoples views on the breed, storys of digs /bags,pictures there drive which in my lurcher is immense,just like to hear about them without whippet in the mix many thnks rich

  12. yea i guess it wasnt a proper fight and yes was over in seconds because i stopped it. my concern was if i wasnt there would it of been alot worse,they have always played with him submitting to her leting her chase and pin him,they are both entire,she comes in once a year, generally after the first week shel go to a sisters till over,if there is one thing i can think may of triggerd it was a couple biscuits in a bowl near were they were when fight(argument) happend but my back was turned i couldent tell if one was eating or simillar,strange as they always swapabout bowls once finished and al

Thanks all,castration and pts are definetly a route i dont want to take unless was completly necessary,should of said fight drew no wounds, was over in seconds, maybee i havent trained him properly skycat,ive done my best with em both,but my general obediance seems fine for the last 5 years,i must admit he doesnt like other dogs but wil tolerate them, they both work, in the summer i attend the jrtgb shows with my friend who runs the southern region and enter him in working lurcher ring,hes ok doing that never had problem,even got 1st outta eight in best working condition and 1st rough coat dog

Cheers all for replys,well appreciated maybee they did need checking into place,theyve got on so well since pups, bitch having a year on the dog approx,they always together and have been with me 5 year and 4 year from 8 weeks mean the world to me and the mrs,dogs have been fine all day back to usuall selves,will keep a close eye on things cheers rich
  15. i wish i could but living in a caravan,gona be tricky what you think about a muzzle, picked one up yesterday havent tried it yet but its one he can pant and drink in, are lurcher fights like terriers ie till the death or do they squabble and sort it? cheers

Hello all,im writing this as i stand the most chance of advice from you lads on a problem has occured with my two lurchers, these two have grown up together,slept eaten workd together there whole lives,upon returning home to pick the dogs up midday yesterday to then take them to work with me as i do every day, i had a quick game of ball in my field,now my home wich ill add is a caravan i went back in with the dogs to grab some stuff to return to my work my back was turned and they went full on fighting,now i dont believe in hitting dogs but upon seperating it they both recieved a hidingi have

  18. yea good point,but id say my fawn runs lighter on foot,but the black one does keep out the beam,till he strikes if that makes sense

Just at work with not much on, thought id have a chat about something ive been noticing between my two dogs, after lastnights run,im finding that by black dog seems to be noticed by the rabbit a lot later on runs and before a turn, the rabbits are casual in there flee,until they clock the dog which is usually to late ,where as my fawn colour dog, they seem to always no were shes at and run in constant top gear,do they see lighter dogs better than darker?do any of you have preferance in colour?,and yes i know that there is plenty of light dogs smashing rabbit day in day out better than mine, i

  21. Had a rabbit hit my boot before, little bger got away too,managed to get out the way of my lurcher aswell which was hot on its heels
