i don’t think a steady type will have more difficulty keep up with a hare then a fast type mate just run different ?

not really mate some may be steady but there fast still with that the dog needed to get there stay a few foot off and not loose it or keep loosing loads a ground to make up then get stronger after 3 or 4 mins easy to loose a hare in cover once the dogs tired mate but some types won’t be shook off in cover easy

the strongest fittest hares will only be killed by a small percentage of dogs mate he give a good slip on seed and after three minutes the hare was still not under any type a control there is dogs can stop them but there few and far between you’ll see it dogs killing quick most a the season then they fall on one a them they have to have 5 mins plus in the tank and be able to settle to stop em

look how it’s opening up that gap going back out into open land like a rocket it’s not kinky about if the dog could a stayed with it another minute it would of started kinking slowed up abit by then no shame in not stopping that hare it was just a strong hare in its prime very few dogs can stop them mate

that’s the one mate killed his first quick and 3rd aswell but that one after 3 mins was still pulling when you hit them it takes 5 mins plus to stop them another min a strong dog would a settled in behind then it’s hold your breath time

if every one’s going 3 mins plus it’s a steady type i agree mate i just think when you hit that one that’s flying out of the turns 3 minutes in it has to be run down the fast types wouldn’t hold on and still be going at 5 or 6 min mark speaking of lucas in this thread a good dog mint order but that one in bully match pulled dog all over was the type i mean mate killed 1st hare and the 3 rd hare but only the execeptional dogs would a stopped that second hare ripping out of turns

the strong uns rip out the turns from the off mate make gaps on the fastest dogs take a few minutes for fast dogs to get sat in and it will have to sit in or it will get undone it’s self fast types won’t kill these hares only the bottomless relentless dogs will mate
