thanks for the reply's fellas all it is is that ive got permission on a local golf course to do rabbits squirrels and pest bird species and i just noticed that there are an absolute shed load of moorhens and theyre sh*itting all over the greens and rest of the course and just wounderd if it would be worth asking the people there if they wanted me to thin out the population. cheers dan

im pretty new to the game compared to some of you more experienced gentleman but we know people ate badger ham but is there a possibility that foxes were also eaten to simply survive?? just a thaught. dan

zerod the scope on my yesterday (which took a bit of work) once it was sorted we sed blue tac made it roughly the size of a baby rabbits head and i was putting pellets tightly into the blue tac at 27 yards(the length of the old abandoned sports hall we used) got a phone call from a mate who works for a security firm bout loads of ferral pigeons on a site he checks out and another mate works on. waited for darkness and off we went. got there bout 10:40 an hit the first barn straight away, there were hundreds! first blood was down to me with the bout 30 yards a sleeping pigeon. res

got my hw80 back today from the un shop its been brought back to legality and also the guy gave it a clean up inside as it was thick with greese! and i saw the kitchen roll he used to clean it! minging!!!! fitted the rws scope when i ot it home and now all is left is to zero it on monday with a mate in college and then ill be off monday nite onto my permission to christen it (fingers crossed) just thaught id keep anyone thats interested informed. cheers danny

ive got a striker for goin out with the dog but ive just got myself an hw80 and im looking for a decent scope mounted lamp thats not going to brake the bank!! one that can be used with a filter would be preferred. cheers danny

took my new baby to the local gun shop on saturday to sort out a scope change got it chroneyd an lets just say it pushin over the odds! so left it with him an he's going to sort it for me. it will probably take a week or 2 he said hes got to pass it on to another guy but once i get it there should be a massive dent in the bunny population on my newly aquired permission!!!!lol :hunter: cheers dan

got my self an hw yesterday think it was a bit of a steal. hw80k sling fleece lined gun bag rws 4x40 scope an 2 simmons scopes and a little clip on bi-poddy thing quid am chuffed with that! gonna swap aome scopes around get it zeroed an crack on my new permission wich has been recently aquired through a friend of a friend. cheers danny

admitedly my do is not out workin as much as id like and has been gowing through a little bit of a dry spot,(partly down to me not being able to take her to any half decent places!) but in the past couple of days shes caught 2 rabbits on the local field and once shes caught them she looks like shes goin to retrieve but once the rabbit trys to move she just munches it! she has retrieved the odd rabbit after some painstaking training!! any ideas how to stop this as its ruining the meet and with some permission on the cards i dont want that! cheers dan

just wunderin if anyone could help ive just been to a local field sports shop an was lookin at what the guy behind the counter said was an old air arms side lever but it said on the side sig something looked to be in decent nick with scope an an old dody bipod for 135 quid any one any ideas on the type of rifle and if its worth it? cheers dan

i think ive come to an agreement with my mum and for me to get an airrifle i need it to be in some sort of locker. i need it to be small enough to fit under my bed. im not after an fac type safe just a small locker anyone got any ideas where i can get one and abouts how much?? thanks dan

ive gained my first permission ever! haha after asking a few farmers and farm workers i was walking the dog yesterday and just by chance asked a guy i saw coming off the local allotments if there was any trouble with rabits. he said not at the moment but the maggies and woodies are driving us mad! i told him i can sort them out and that was that its about 2 mins from my house and hopefully ill shoot a good few corvids! y.i.s. dan
