From my own experience smaller lurchers seem to suffer less foot/toe problems,whether this is to do with them being smaller and lighter or whether they do actually have good feet ive no idea but having said all this my brother had a whippet/grey bitch who was constantly damaging her front feet.He got the bitch from some travellers when it was about 18 months old and maybe it was ruined before he got it?

Ive suffered since i was 23 and im 40ish now.Chiropracters can work miracles and diclofenac (voltarol) does help.Best advice i can give you is to improve your posture and if you are doing any physical activity warm up slowly and thoroughly first.I wear a lumber brace at work just as a precaution and it does help protect your lower back when you get lazy and lift things the wrong way.

Funny thread i know,but last year we ordered a chinese on new years eve and when we collected it they gave us a Chinese Calendar and some dim sum (chinese starters).Now being a Scotsman i was thinking,should i get a Chinese this year or an Indian?,if i go back to the same Chinese Take away will i get the freebies and if not should i remind them what i got last year? is this a good idea or will they put some free "creamofsumyunguy" in my food? :sick:

i take it you didnt get a bite then? Plenty of bites and lots of small chub and roach,better fish start showing in the late afternoon which is when the line started icing in the rings and just as luck would have it i had no glycerine with me.

My Law,your comments are correct.Golden Eagles and European Eagle Owls in the wild do not predate on wolves or foxes on a regular basis.In Czech,Mongolia and,Kazhakstan they are used to hunt fox and small deer and anyone who has actually been and witnessed these birds working knows the handlers run like madmen to subdue the fox/deer before the birds get damaged.I'm not a falconer but have several close friends who have been flying and working numerous BOP's for 30 years or more and one who visits Czech on a regular basis.A lot of the Eagles flown on larger prey carry lots of feather damage and

Im yet to be convinced about lithium battery longevity.Powakaddy ranted and raved about there latest lithium powered golf carts,but withdrew them from sale after 6 months.A friend who works in the golf industry told me the lithium batteries were failing after being charged about 30 times.I think i'll stick to SLA batteries,i have two 7ah batteries wired in tandem and fitted to a backpack,the weight is barely noticable and i have used them to power my striker for several hours or more and have never had to come home early.

An eagle owl kill a fox? lets see the proof.The hunts use them as a loophole in the law,ive followed my local hunt several times,the Eagle Owl has never even been out the motor.And befoore anyone tells me they are used for hunting deer and foxe's in Czech and Mongolia yes they are but are followed very closely by the handler.A fox would eventually get a hold of the BOP and bite the head off it.

Having owned both the clulite and the striker i can honestly say theres no comparison and i dont know anybody thats gone back to a clulite after using a striker.Blitz is a great lamp but for bunnies i just think a bit ott.Ask yourself a question ? if you could have a striker or a clulite FOC which would you choose ? Striker=shite wiring but best beam on the market. Clulite=very robust and well built but beam is hopeless.

Why do these threads always degenerate into a slanging match ? Chartpolski summed it up perfectly its "horses for courses" If i wanted a small dog for out and out speed id get a good whippet out of coursing/working lines.What i wanted was a small dog that would be an allrounder/moocher thats why i got a beddyxwhip.Now before anyone starts im in no way knocking whippets,i love the breed and have seen many good pure whippets,but i refuse to believe that a pure whippet makes a better all rounder,why else would they ever have outcrossed the breed ? Well SACS membership renewals do seem to be in limbo at the moment as far as many terrier and lurcher owning members are concerned following the recent departure of Foxgun Tom from its ranks and also the PSNI ad on the website.Tom is a good friend of mine and if he's questioning the management and policies of an organisation then i'm pretty certain there are valid reasons why he's doing so. Nothing at all wrong with feeding minced carcass,i know of many people who base there dogs diet on minced chicken carcass.As for cleaning the dogs teeth?if it chokes on raw bones get a good quality hide bone.

BARF is a great diet for any breed/age of dog.Problems arise when people start getting lazy and feeding one type of food.I personally feed mine a mixture of raw meat and bones,boiled veg,offal and kibble.Some purists might dissagree with feeding any kind of dried feed,but i honestly don't think a handfull of dry now and then does any harm. I'd guess the reply to your thread,was showing concern that the pup may be missing something in his diet,and thats why they recommended kibble.
