I think scent is right. Especially if, like you say, they're not barkers. Or getting onto the neighbours property at all. I dont know that for fact though, hopefully someone will.

Set them to 4 mate. not a lot of difference but the yard is a bit longer. My sights were always set to 20meters for target but shoot at targets at other ranges so you know how much to aim off by when you're shooting vermin. Cheers

At the minute I have a 10 month patterdale bitch. Im thinking of getting a lurcher pup and just wondered if anyone has some advice to help this go smoothly. Would a dog be easier than a bitch. Or an older dog easier than a pup. Both dogs will be in the house Thanks

I don't know anything about the course you mention. Before I'd even bought my first rifle, I joined a rifle and pistol club. The wealth of knowledge on tap amongst the members there was 2nd to none. That would definately be my advice to you. You'll get a lot of good advice from this forum, but it helps to have practical guidance aswell as the theory. And don't think everyone who shoots at a club is only interested in punching holes in targets. Hope this helps, Good luck

You're right mate, thats the same referee who wouldn't let Hatton do any inside work. Funny how much Hopkins was getting away with, keeping Calzaghe tied up all the way through eh!

Good point about the home judges knash'. I'd like to hear a true neutrals opinion about tonight. Its hard not to let your heart sway your judgement. Am sticking with Calzaghe on points though.

Nah spike, if it goes as far as 9 or 10 its JOes fight. Honestly cant see Hopkins having the stamina to do Calzaghe that late in the night. I'd like to see it go the same as the Kessler fight: a 12 round boxing lesson from the lad from the valleys! Dont think Hopkins will let that happen though, he'll be up for a war tonight. He's just going to keep out the way of the big right hand, and not get caught early.

For what my opinion is worth on it, I think I agree with some of what gnasher is saying. I dont want to knock Joe because he's a major british talent, and if he had taken harder fights, he'd of proved the doubters wrong. But Frank Warren cant be held totally responsible for picking the fights. Ricky Hatton wasn't getting the fights he wanted and felt he deserved, which is why he went to a management that produced the goods. Sill hope he smashes the yank though. Wonder how many people are on the site because they're staying up for it! Thats why Im here

Think Calzaghe will win by decision. 9 rounds clear. He's got the skill to do it. You just got to look at the Lacy and Kessler fights to see that. Whether or not Hopkins would of done him in his prime is just something we'll have to argue about afterwards eh! Either way it should be a cracking fight, can't wait. Come on Joe
