  1. the traps i use in western australia http://www.premaorganics.com/fly.htm they are bloody good, not so good if u live in a small area, they stink, but can get 6 inches of flys in them in a few weeks i use this purple spray called centrigen as well, its for horses but keeps flys away, spray it on the roo dogs ears, keeps the flys off her, makes her brindle colours turn red/purple like charlies av lol(not quite that bright tho) also sticky strips are good, hang them up, catch heaps of flies citronella is good, i found planting a citronella plant was good, rub the leaves on te

  4. hi guys dont know much about salukis but i have heard they are b*****ds to train, is this true? if this is the case would u recommend it for someone as thier first dog?
  5. good to be on here as for her neck, it is big, i think its an advantage as she will need that neck strength when she starts working larger quarry here
  6. i put mine down a warren at 17 weeks old, she didnt work it but in the last month she started hunting, that would be about 5 months of age i guess one thing i found was letting her eat some rabbit with the fur attached seemed to make her switch on a bit.
  7. basically a deer x grey, we believe she has whippet and i belive kelpie as well tho not too sure as the guy she was bought off was dodgy anyway she's 27inches to the top of her back, 9 months old and full of mischief since she's switched on shes become a totally different dog, taking her out this weekend to see how she goes again, hopefully she will catch or get a good run in. my plan is to ease her into it, shes not a dog with a heap of confidence so i want to build on this before she gets let on anything too big

  9. gday fella's thought i'd better introduce myself as i hadnt n didnt want to be rude i frequent a few forums around the way 26, live in western australia, have been hunting for nearly 10 years now. mainly hunt kangaroo's, foxes, rabbits i have 2 dogs, a weimaraner who is a pet and a roo dog which has just started chasing the roo dog is about 27inches to the top of her back, 9months old those that know me from toher forums will know me as DiStuRBeD, as i stick with one nick, its easier have a good one fellas, happy hunting

  11. there was another valerio on another forum and talking about badgering and killing porcupines with his dogs, i assumed this was him, however after reading his posts the manner in which he posts is different, so i have edited my post no offence valerio
