They should put that on the packet, I had the wrong end of the stick. Looks like I will be traveling a fe mile down river after a few salmon then Can you use multi mono on fresh water? I've just been looking for a clip on youtube of salmon netting. I'm sure I've showed you before but the net Is packed and there's even fish falling out the net as there pulling It In!

True, But think you could deffo get some better gear in and corner that particular market sector If you chose to. I'm suprised there Isn't many books on netting and obscure fishing methods, recomend any I should look for?? Just remembered I was suposed to get that page photographed for you too If I havn't done It by tomorow remind me or I'll forget.

Was that with the mono or single hook M?? Could be a welsh thing. I'll take a picture of the book after and stick the section on boom lines up for you to have a read If your interested. Have that company got a website? Are there cast nets as over priced as others?? If you can still get the gear cheap why not out do them

Shit luck mate I had my renewal through the other day and that's gone up to 160 odd. I was tempted to put it in a jar but I couldn't afford a 1k vet bill.

It's the great game, life and times of a welsh poacher. It's mainy on longnetting and rabbiting but I thought It worth having a flick through last night to see If there was any fishing In It and bingo! It's quite interesting. He was saying about how they would get there 10 mins before the tide came in so not to have wasted time fishing incase anyone was snooping about they would run the the nets out and as soon as the tide came up to the net the fish arrived almost that same instant. Mentioned boom lines too to stop your net getting filled with weed and crap, anyone ever tried these?? No

No not at all, Just think you meant a few mile UP river I was flicking through a book I have last night and It mentioned salmon fishing In the Dee. Said there were a few great spots and all the info but never mentioned any names of where. Interesting reading non the less and mentioned a few other methods too.

If It gets you results nelson I was looking online and there was some nice salmon being taken this year further up river by me but probably best to try the estury. Do you get many numbers of bass, seatrout or salmon running up?? Somthing I'd like to try next year

Your welcome to try my stream out Lee, see what you think, day or night fishing From what Mackem says about his 300 a day stream he fishes I think 299 Is acceptable and you can even fill your boots with the fish you catch If you so choose. Mind you feck the money, give me a nite invite on Essex's finest water and your on!

You'd catch fish on this stream Lee, mostly small but there wild and brown trout if that's your thing. I don't think the stream Is what most would have In mind though, a beautiful chalk stream It Is not. Crystal water In most parts untill It drops to 3-4ft. It could do with abit of a tidy up really but the fish are there.

What are trying to suggest Lee No one will have to do a runner I have extensive fishing rights on this stretch Caught hundreds of fish from it over the years I've lived here. Mackem and Joe can come and wet a line If they like, I don't keep the stretch all to myself, I just don't let anyone know the good pools

I've never seen the atraction in catching small river trout for sport. I was flicking through trout and salmon the other day and they were catching brownies no bigger than your hand. Theres a stream by me that has loads of them in this size, perhaps I should charge folk to fish It, could even show them were there Is some nice spots too that hold a bigger fish or 2 Got any good spots edjay on the rivers were you can catch some proper sized fish
