  2. Could you guys on here please give me your opinion on what a pure breed is ? (talking about terriers !)ive seen it mentioned quite a few times, what do you think ?
  3. nice pup you got there CLEANSPADE Here is some we bred! 3/4 russtle 1/4 lakeland to a full russtle dog, should turn out good little terriers. Cracking looking pups mate, really like the look of the one on the left.
  4. Was it based in the north by any chance mate ? No down south and the midlands it wasnt around for too long they used to have there meetings in roscrea i think if anyone knows any different correct me i paid my 10euro membership but never went to any meetings.Ithink there was a good few members at the time,but what became of it i dont know There used to be one here in the north, was at a couple of their shows in downpatrick( big shows,well run)but they folded a few years ago(not long after i joined ! would'nt you know !) never heard anything since.
  5. i used to have one of the leggy shit ones. worked well he did. 15 inches tts found some pics Is that a dog from the Howlbeck kennel the dog is howlbeck breeding out of piper. this is his dam Thats a lovely strong lookin bitch.Just the type i like. cheers i only had her a short time. my old russell bitch took a dislike to her. so it was last in first out. she went to a friend and i got a pup off her (Trusty) she was lined with piper. and as far as i know the whole litter worked. i have pics of them somewhere. ill dig em out

  14. Most dedicated breeders of parsons haven't got a clue about working terriers. There are plenty who think they do but from 1st hand experience they are clueless. Incidentally what do you class as a pure parson seeing as you put up a picture of a Howlbeck bred dog? Can I ask again who is he? and are you in Ireland? pm if preferred Thats a real good question ( whats a pure bred parson ?) what do you think would be classed as pure bred ?

  18. None of the torlishill dogs work with hunts to the best of my knowledge, i do know of one that was working down south, but not heard anything about him for a while, but he was very well thought of,worked to fox,he is a half brother to dog in finland, same sire," jappatin polar ice".

  20. Could someone please explain to me what is meant by the word "work" as in working terriers ? i have always thought terriers could be "worked" to rat,rabbit fox or any other legal quarry, now however after following some of comments on this topic im not to sure ! is "working" only to fox ?.
  21. Hi Kegs mate, can you tell me what the dog in Finland has won in the show ring ? do you know for sure that he does'nt do any work ? have you ever seen the dog ? really like to hear what you think of him if you have, cheers mate.

Well mate you are right its a good web site and I for one can assure you they do work their dogs as well as show them, they have working terriers in Finland France and several hunt kennels in the UK and here in Ireland just because they show at IKC shows does not mean the dogs are not good enough to work ask Eddie Chapman and Geoff Burnhill, you can catch up with them around the ringside at Crufts in March !!!! eddie chapman -- the man and his terriers have become a joke -- Why is eddie chapman and his terriers a joke ? there was a bloke with the abbeyfeale pack with chapwins dogs b
  23. Seems to be doin the job in Finland now though Maybe he just needed to mature a bit more, he was young when he was first tried ! what age was he tried Not sure, about a year old i think !
