    Get to know your local hunt, the huntsman and his staff, help out when you can and see what the jobs all about, gain there trust and ask plenty questions and learn. Then if your still interested apply to go on the hunt servants list, with the MFHA and they will send you out a list of job vacancies, apply for the ones you fancy and ask the local huntsman or masters to give you a reference.     John Nicholson did not no at the time linton and never really meant anything till i read years later how well respected he was in the hunting world how i wish i had a camera that day He took over the huntsmans job in 1962 from Walter Parkin and retired in 1990. A real fell huntsman. LL.
