Cheers Mate I may well take you up on your offer at some time, I have to sell my bits of my Carp fishing gear and will put them up for sale early in the week. fingers crossed thet will go quickly. then i will have the funds i need to sort out every thing, i have also been lucky to find out that a close friends daughter has just got married to a gamekeeper not more than 3 miles from me and i have been invited to go along and he will give me a good schooling and then he will take me out on the estate, jammy or what lol. Hi All I dont get the chance to get up to Higate from down here nr Dover Kent I had a bitch that is running in the non ped class i think she will be running at about 31/32lb weight class. her running name is Soul To Soul she is the one on my picture it would be nice to hear how well she is running, she has won her weight class at the championships the last two years. Hello there Ray and welcome to this side of the forum If I were you, I'd approach the landowners who let you go lamping with the dogs, I'm pretty sure they would allow you to shoot on their land as you would be continuing to do them the favour of pest control Worth a try? Deffinately HOWEVER: First thing is first: Go find a club or range (as been said, everyone (well almost everyone) will be delighted to talk, show and let you shoot their pride and joy. Secondly handling a few different guns will allow you to decide which powerplant you like best, Springer, PCP or Co2.

Have to say i do not have a clue about any rifles hence the post in the first place, lol what is the best to start of with shooting rabbits , pigeons, rats, ect. i think it has been 30 years since i shot anything when in the forces. lol. i am making sure i get as much right before starting as i can and not make silly misstakes fingers crossed. could look at a swap for some carp fishing rods reels all top class gear that has only been used 5 / 6 times.   12. Cheers Fry I have done a lot of lamping with my dog in the past and have never gone anywhere without permission, but gave that up after having dogs stolen took up fishing instead . but would like to have a go at shooting. Ray
