  6. If your fishing rivers, and there are some feeding fish on the surface, look for small rises, use a dry fly, or an semi emerger, like a Klinkhammer etc, or use some nymphs, something like a gold head hares ear or pheasant tail nymph, but these would be for fish that are sub surface feeding, feeding below the surface. Every river would have to be observed to see what fly activity there is and where the fish are feeding, sub or surface. If your fishing put and takes, use lures, cats whisker, orange yellow black and green mix coloured lures usually take stockies. Its a big learning curve, good

  14. Its the exact same up here in the north, theyre killing pike everywhere, but it is illegal up here, but our baillifs couldnt give a rats ass as theyre too afraid of getting a kicking, but theyre not as slow to tell a young lad to pack up his gear because he left his permits at home, Maybe they do deserve a kicking. Rant over. GET THEIR TRANSPORT, MAYBE THEY WILL GET THE MESSAGE, NOT THAT I WOULD PROMOTE VIOLENCE.

  17. Not sure about the legal side of things over there, but,I would be a little careful shooting any dog,and it would certainly pay(in my opinion)to talk to the local police to make sure of your legal position, cos you could maybe end up losing your cert.As far as the permission is concerned get a map of the land from Google earth and get him to put down his boundries on the map,so anyone that might object at anytime will be able to see the map and the signature of the landowner. Also get him to put all of the quarry that he will allow you to control on the permission as well,oh and good luyck mate.

I also understand he wants any stray dogs to be shot on HIS LAND. Should i out this down on paper to control inc
  20. Hi guys, maybe someone could put me out off my misery. About 6 weeks ago my springer chipped a knuckle on his front toe, this injury was only found after an xray request by myself to the vet, don't get me wrong the local vets are excellent, 1 even specializes in greyhounds, but it took 4 weeks after the initial visiT to x-ray him. It was found he had chipped his knuckle and apparently this injury was very uncommon in springers, it was more common with greyhounds. I think i know how it happened after the vet explained how such an injury would occur, as far as i can recall he jumped a ditch, bu
