    My latest Damascus or pattern welded knife!! Made 100% by myself, a one off creation. It’s made of 120 layers of steel, forge welded together, steels used are 15n20 nickel steel and cs60 spring steel and it’s a high carbon blade with a fantastic temper. The pattern is ladder pattern created by manipulating the steel as shown then flattening and drawing it out. here achieving welding temprature in the gas forge building up enough heat to flatten and draw out . here a short clip of thepower hammer used . i cant work he hammer on hot steel and film so just a clip that shows how

    Sorry , is it a circular wheeled bench grinder or a belt and disk ?? If its a bench grinder I can't help only Stuart Mitchell ( that I know of) can make them do what he wants with them . If its s belt and disc then grits from 40 to 400 are what you need!!

    Hi Ben thanks !! I'm not living there I was advised to use another address so I don't get burgled or hassled while I work ( nice int it ?) The size is the same as yours just a few subtle changes iv done to it , the design has been changed here and there a good few times now but just small changes . Yeah that review , it's a good one eh ? I'm still investing every penny back into the business . I hope I get a return one day but what else would I do?????

    Thanks kev , it's been a battle getting that built !!!! I'm not blown away by it myself but for the price I paid ( all I could afford ) its about right ! Just need to keep building up products now !

    Hey if anyone finds a whet stone at a car boot grab it !! But make sure it's not an oil stone there 5 a penny and not worth the hassle !!! Check it's in a good condition and that you will be able to "dress" it flat and smooth . When there dished in the middle they aren't worth a wank !! This is a pm I just sent in reply about this topic . Iv pasted it here so others can see it . Now my only credentials are that I'm 100% full time cutler and blade smith and have a good few years as a professional knife user under my belt .     Not now the mrs has left mate , money has never been so tight ! I'm gunning tho , lots of work to do and things I want to make . Iv just sent 5 custom knives in a stainless Damascus steel for heat treating . It's the most technically advanced blade steel there is and has beautiful patterns . There gonna be cryogenicly tempered to There's 3 small knives and 2 kitchen knives .

    Your gonna need the latest Damascus knife paulista as a centre piece ! I'm no where near finished yet but it's spectacular so far !! It's really different to anything iv done before ! Did you get the countryman's ?? I was a little disappointed . It's not generated a sale yet .. I know it's more coverage but I'm skint and it cost Maybe the website will do the trick ??

There's 2x dymnd wood, black and green laminate available at £120 theses won't be repeated because the dust is very flammable when grinding the handles to shape , we get fires in the work shop from this :0 A single olive green canvas micarta at £120 the most popular of all the handle options . And possibly a camo canvas micarta at £90 They all come sheathed and shaving sharp with free uk shipping !! There are always blanks available that are ready to have handles fitted , they are sharp and are supplied with the brass fitting

I was abit deflated but the write up the original had so much more detail in it they sort of hit the facts not the story behind it and what there about !!
