  1. what do you mean? would it not have less recoil?
  2. i heard today that if i removed the spring from a 22 air rifle and replaced it with a 177 gas ram it would be more powerful.....true or bollocks?
  3. my mate had a dog from foxy/charlie it was a loony, it has to be the nastiest dog alive
  4. i seen the tape with nipper on and it was very strong......over the last few seasons ive seen a lot of well bred pups ruined by tits that have hammered them, and made them jack before december is out. a lot of folk seem to think because something is bred from a great dog its gonna naturally be a world beater
  5. there's not many dogs wat have 5-6 full coarsin seasons why not? mine will be goin to his 5th season this year
  6. my mate has a bitch from a foxy/charlie dog- an old saluki bitch..... its just turned 2 and is a proper little killer. next season there will be a few talkin about her
  7. when ever we get caught coursing, it isnt because they have seen the white dog its normally because they,ve seen a 6ft bloke holding it. no amount of camaflague is gonna hide you or any colour dog in the middle of a field
  8. i too think a lot are well over rated... the bitch dancer should be classed as a legend for winning the forley and the doubles in one season, and a bitch from don southard witch won 3 competitions, 3 weeks in a row i think it was called lady. id of thought foxy was more a legend than snowy. but thats jmo.
  9. when do you class a dog a legend instead of a good dog.... surely a dog would have to of had 5-6 full working seasons under its belt before you could class it a legend.... im not 100% positive on this but i heard snowy only had 1 or 2 .......

imo....all the tales of a deep chest, or fingers between the blades idea, meaning a dog will have stamina, dont really add up because all your describing is the perfect greyhound. saluki,s have practically nothing between the blades, and are built like skeletons

yeah thats were im comin from...... people judge a show on looks... but most of the dogs there never see a rabbit, i bet there is a lot of people on here that own good killing lurchers, that aint that bonny....yet they see pictures put up and think there dogs aint in the same league purely on looks

] maby because they dont know weather its a strong dog cos they can only see it but it looks strong ...hence looks strong very true..but a greyhound looks strong...yet 60 seconds later its burnt out

the dogs you see on here are bonny lookin animals...but ..imo... you cant see a dogs qualities threw its apearence.some dogs look great but aint worth a wank..... other dogs look shite but can kill all day long.... so why? no matter what the dog does every one say " looks strong"
  14. not to cause an argument....but... why.. when some one puts a picture of a dog up most people say " big strong dog" or " looks like it has loads of stamina" ? looks are the most deceiving especially on a lurcher of mixed brteeds....... looks do not kill bags
  15. I haven't tried it and WONT try it because it's bullshit..and like i said UPTO or OVER 7 day's for stitches to be removed.. I go to a good reliable vet who also treat's a lot of greyhond's and he has stitched my dog's a good amount of times through accident's with barbed wire and other stuff..he has also done numerous opperation's and not once has he said to me try a portamag as they will heal quicker.. All's i know about them is they are good for muscle strain's not fecking ripped skin..and deffo not torn and ripped muscle.. If you dont go get a dog stitched which i have done through less
  16. oooohhhhh sorry mr expert vet... i was statin 1 incedent which was tried..... and worked. split webs are a b*****d even when stitched. this was tried on a cut behind the ribs and worked. porta mags arnt made for this and it doesn,t say any were that they are. but the original question was to do with " would it help" and i think it would. if any 1 has the use of one they should use it because it aint going to do any more damage is it . 14 days to heal a cut.....i ,d change my vet, sounds like a good un
  17. have you tried it?...... well instead of sayin bullshit.... try it.......and then you can type in " oh yeah your right it does work". i have seen it and the cut would of been no better off havin a vet look at it. for you to say bullshit you must of tried it have you? isnt a vet 10 days before removal
  18. [yeah i know ....thats why ill be using it in futre]
  19. i have one. i let a mate use it on his dog that had argued with barbed wire, he couldn,t afford to get it stitched so i said "try it". it had done a great job. the cut had sealed up and after 7 days was fully healed. so it doesn,t do any harm. ill be using it myself in future on minor cuts.
  20. thats a very good clear answer....i wish some one who coursed hares had spoke on that subject as well before the b**
  21. i used to do all my ferreting as a kid on sand dunes, sometimes digging 6ft holes. it was easy digging. one time i was upside down getin the ferret about 5 1/2 ft. i asked my mates to pull me up and it caved in, i f***in shit it, they couldn,t get me out, luckily some guy was passing and lynched me out. i never panicked so much ever
  22. how is paddy? he was a good crack on the drink
