    There are beddies out there some bushing,ratting and some doing earthwork. Trouble is they are few and far between compared to most other "working terriers". You would probably have to convince the majority of terrier men/women about their ability and if you have to be convinced then a beddie probably is not for you . The topic working bedlington has 73 pages, have a look thru and you'll see there are some out there.
