  1. Its a fairly simple procedure when done right The 100lb fallow doe in my little story was dispatched by this method
  2. Worked all week. Then sat on me lazy arse all night till 9ish and took the dogs for their walk as its been too hot thru the day.
  3. i once had a pup grab a chinese by the arse, didn't know how to finish the job as she was only about 10 months and put the deer up by accident. by the time i got there the poor critter was pretty shredded and i didnt even have a pocket knife on me. by straddling the body with my whole weight on it and twisting its neck (using the end of the muzzle to get leverage) i managed to dislocate it, just by twisting an inch at a time then resetting my grip and another inch and so on. took several minutes and had to twist virtually a complete revolution and it was really difficult and all in all a very
  4. Is anybody capable of breaking their necks? Anything upto fallow doe's ?
  5. On another note.. it always gets said that a good dog should dispatch its quarry before human intervention. Well what about thos times when it doesnt.... how did you go about dispatching a deer.....
  6. Wilf. I was also told a story... it goes like this... . 3 lads were out and therr was a herd of maybe 15 fallow does milling around like idiots. 2 dogs werr thrown into the bunch.... a young inexperienced dog and an older powerful experienced dog. They singled out one each. And the older dog ended up quite a distance away. While the young dog lost his fairly quick into a wood nearby. Upon the older dog returning a huge Doe was still around. Which he soon got onto. As the course progressed the dg and this 100lb doe headed straight back to where the lads where standing. On
  7. Ill openly admit to doing 'a bit' through the summer... many moons ago anyway.... as that is when the roe bucks were in season Would not run Does but accidents happen. And if quick enough they can normally be released
  8. Well if i take ur highest price of 3150. It makes it 45 a square meter. So id be looking arounnd 500. Thatl do me
  9. Got 11sqm i want tarmaced. Any idea what i should be looking at paying.. i know it will vary somewhat but just a average guide price Cheers
  10. Chances of being seized link. Remove centre console and grease it all up. The links will be bolted together. Make sure the bolts are tight aswell even replace the normsl nuts with nylocks to stop them 'dancing' free again Removing the console is a bit bad head though. You will have to drill out some rivets and replace with screws....
  11. Cheers fellas Just needed to unload my mind a bit. And deepest sympathys to those who have experienced the same. Whippet99 although i dont know you ive resd your posts and feel your pain. Although what ive gone through andvwhat you go through is complete different. After all.... you expect your parents to go before you.... but too lose a partner is a diffrrent matter. As i have seen the effect my dads death had on my mother.... and more so the effect it had on his own parents..... his dad, died only 3 month after him, cancer again... but i suspect it stemmed from a broken heart..
  12. since my dear old Dad passed away due to cancer. aged 52 not a single day gone by when you hasvt been thought of, wish i could see your face again. But the day you passed meant no more suffering, although you handled it so well. Brave man, my hero. Your first granddaughter was born 28th October 2012,,,, exactly 1 month before your own Birthday im certainly having a few pints for you tonight Dad peaceful easy feeling
  13. i would of paid for prime deer land..... not silly money mind... i once offered a farmer a one off payment of £100 to help him with the fallow deer....... he turned my offer down & let me on for FREE as they (were) in such abundance.....
  14. Just waiting for the fabled 22inch beddy whipet that pulls red stags In my opinion, and my opinion only, if your game was deer, then you wouldnt have got in a small dg.... especially where fallow sika ree deer where on the menu. I had a 27" dog he would pull fallow does on peace even the larger does of 100lb weight but come the bucks it seemed he would chase them and just keep pushing . Now and then though hed get one, if running doubled. They are big animals that can jump for fun... and demolish walls fences etc
  15. ]Got down the river before the mass of summer dog walkers arrived. Had a nice little walk in the morning sun Took dogs out with a mate just then and funally managed o get a couple of good pics of the dogs jumping. Using the quickfire camera on my phone...
  16. Its you throwing stupid comments about.... One of the main reasons i loved lamping hares is because it sure got the daywalkers all hot and bothered
  17. It says on your link.... 50m rabbits.... With the figure you estimate. . That would leave 50 hares..... Not sure what planet you live on?
  18. There is alot more rabbits than hares divvyboy Not quite 1,000,000 to 1 though?
