  1. Hawks won't touch moles, soon as they break through they skin they will throw them to the ground, something to do with the taste of they blood and meat, I used to trap them for farmers and sometimes leave them on fence poles for wild buzzards an they turn they noises up at them for sum reason!

    REDTAILS

I flew both parents, only flew the female on rabbits as the terrain did not suit her, she flew at 2lb 10. The male took rabbit, pheasant and squirels, he was extremely good at waiting on and very obedient bird. He flew at 2lb 2. The parents have got chicks now but I dont know what they are but will find out by weekend.
  16. your right there jasp i paid £550 for her, i bought her to fly for a couple yrs then put her back with one of my males because i was told that falconiformes breed big harris's but i werent happy with this size,as my males average 1lb10 -1lb14 an i've had 2 females that flew 2lb 6 first yr,the bird as no vices an will make average weight but i was expecting a bigger bird for what i paid, you know what i mean jasp

    Moult

yes spar i agree i put a female harris down to moult 4wks ago an i looked in 2day and she has 4tail feathers fully down, but on the other hand my male gos which i been trying AI with as only dropped 2tail feathers, but with the gos i think it just hormones cos he been hit an miss with semen.
  20. hi sham hope the telementry ok,i used to fly birds through the moult as long as u keep the birds abit higher in weight to help with the moult, there r supplements out now to put on your birds food to help with the growth of new feathers,u will find your birds will fly at a higher weight through the summer probaly.
