  2. i cover the bottom of my ferrets eating area with the stuff mechanics use for small oil spills so if any water is spilled its suked up in no time then there is no dampness , i also work with the same in his shit house then just change the sheet everyday , but that aside yeh that special stuff on the floor not sure of the name then i just fill it up with straw / hay but he seems to gain abit of a smell with him , paper shreddings work ok for me but i dont have a shredder so i just use hay all the time
  3. Hello everyone , i was wondering if anyone can help me find a jill or has one i am willing to pay, but it needs to be in the scotland area preferably aberdeen area , as i live in shetland i will come down to pick up the ferret if anyone can help , i was planning on breeding as i have a hob on his own but i also think he needs another ferret and this way i can kill 2 birds with 1 stone , i would be planning on keeping some of the litter i do have home for 2 ferret so far if i can manage to get a breeding pair , if anyone can help please leave a comment

  8. is there a special technique to get theses ferrets or is just pot luck if u get one in a litter i was reading back on a forum and they said the test was make your thumb and index finger into a circle , and if the ferret could go thru that hole then it was a greyhound ferret
  9. does anyone know what these greyhound ferrets that people speak of i have never heard of them until i started to use the forum
  10. this is my one 25 inches long head to tail and weighs 2.5kg big belly

  12. i had plans to breed my hob with a polecat jill im in the process of trapping one had the traps down for a week now but still have nothing i think its time for me to move them again i have a friend who has problems with the poleys getting his hens so he said he would take a trap to get one but i hope i get a jill beacuse the hobs require alot of work to tame , i have one but its extremely shy
  13. im not sure if any one else mentiond this , but i t think the tube might need some feet too , think of this senario . you realise your shoe is untied so you lay d own ferret TUBE and tie your lace , so if your on a hill where is your ferret TUBE going to go , but this is just me i think the worst of every situation
  14. yeh i would agree with that 1 inch square will be fine , are you planning on using welded wire cage??
  15. " inches " correct not centimetres, 2 inches it pretty big mask size mine is on 2cm by 2cm
  16. is this the cage size mesh?? 2x2" im not really sure my stuff only 2cm square
  17. great lookin ferrets how many do u have ??
  18. did you ever get a reply back kay , from the ferret box maker , the diameter looks pretty big ,judgin by the size of the strap , well that depends if hes still using the same straps , but your better off making your own then you know what u need , and you know what u get!!
  19. well i bought the single bow back box from this guy he sells alot on ebay which is were i bought mine but he states in the advert suitable for 2 jills or a 1 hob , so when i got it i was extremely pleased at how well it was put together but then i tried to get my hob in it. needless to say he couldnt fit at all. so i dont know how could even think that 2 ferret jills could get in the box unless they were size of hamsters
  20. ah man toughen up i have never had much problem with mine biting surprisingly as he is wild the only thing being hes pretty shy
  21. can you imagine the heat that would build up in that tube if it wer a sunny day well not that we get many where i am but yeh i think a change of colour would help too
