But on the other hand there ain't much better feeling than being on a machine from a standing start and accelerating really fast.the adrenaline tap is wide open. Maybe more of a buzz on 1 wheel doing 217 mph..

Considering the difference in rubber in contact with the floor then yes around a circuit and F1 car will be faster. But a straight line drag race.the bike wins

That's the downside mate.they can be dangerous especially what happened to your mate.cars pulling out or making crazy manovers etc.i always felt safer riding in the dark as any light coming from a side road etc could be seen from a good distance away.in the day time you wouldn't see a car untill it pulled out. I've stood on a kerb and seen a bike rider die on the white line directly infront of us 6ft away.evening time.it shook me up for a good few days I will be honest.

I put over 50k miles on a gsxr and never hit and drain and got thrown into oncoming traffic.i have had the back end slip and slide dozens of times.and what's really weird is after a good few years riding. I was commuting 1 morning mid winter in the dark pissing down rain. Pulled out to overtake a car and starting winding the throttle on.the back end slipped under power to the right about 1ft and before I could mentally react to the situation.my throttle hand shut the throttle a little bit and the bike corrected itself.i then opened it up and completed the over take. It all depends on who is riding the bike really.at the end of the day your life is in there hands.thats the reality.you often hear people saying whilst looking at a super bike " I would kill myself on that" my response is always the same don't talk shit no man jumps on a bike and keeps the throttle wide open and rides into a wall.unless they are suicidal of course. You don't have to grow up on bikes to become a decent rider really.its a very enjoyable hobby.and don't forget. Ferrari performance for fiesta money ?
