Ok all ive got my rat pack nearly sorted out, my mates got two patterdale cross russells along with my russell and the permission is sorted so what time of day is best? Night time is probably best but im only free during the day this weekend, is it a waste of time during the day? bearing in mind all the dogs and the owners are as green as the hills when it comes to ratting?? and we will probably blank!! ive set my live trap noe for a week and the score so far is 2 stoats 0 rats

I have heard that a good homemade caller is made using polystyerin and wetting it and rubbing it off the glass of the vehicle you are in, does this method work?

yes i will only be catching a rat and then letting it go to a better place, once the dog has had a look and a sniff around.

Thanks for the repiles folks, ive purchased a couple of live traps and will be setting them soon, so hopefully things will progress from there ill let you all know how i get on. thanks thurso jack.

on the pick is smoothfox <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah the pic is misleading she is quite small in reality, just not got short legs, smooth fox terriers should be 16-19lbs and there is no way she is that.

So how do i go about it then folks? no answer yet?? do i just turn up at a likely spot and let the dog do the rest or is time of day a factor, should i be doing anything myself??
