  3. dont panic peeps not going to do it just wondering most the pics of matings i see is a male bully over a bitch greyhound ,just wondering why a bitch bullie over a male greyhound isnt done do they throw leggy bully types that are too heavy for to be any use these days.or is it a whelping issue .would love to see pics of a dog bred that way.
  4. if you think they went shaftsbury/salisbury to southampton way they could be in blandford/poole area as well.
  5. i had some lamb waste and venison bones from butcher, dogs loved it the lurcher loved the deer leg bones with the skin still on. the poo goes solid so is easy to pick up,i just wish i could get enough to feed the dogs on it all the time.
  6. gonna leave a big hole in the skirting surely.
  7. its bad enough losing a dog let alone one getting stolen but to find out ones been shot and drove over beggars belief ,i hope one day you can give an eye for eye so to speak.
  8. hey topper thought i was gonna see some nr my village other day ,i heard a pig grunting turned out to be a pot belly pig feeding on a neighbouring smallholding.
  9. have a search think theres a couple of threads the same.the ones i seen advertised were cocker x i think.
  10. yeah i was thinking of ridgeback or farm collies ive seen some colliexstaff that were rabbit dogs but never tried on deer as they were pets that just killed on their exercise.
  11. as im stuck in house ,what dog pure or x,non sighthound blood. doubled up ,lamped or even just bayed the deer, what ones have surprised you talking pre-ban of course. i was thinking either some collies or something with bull blood.
  12. cheers for that skycat may try them i did think that with xmas someone that works in building trade etc that shuts for week would be able to spend a bit of time with her so may consider now a good time to have her it was worth a shot. ive put her on the barf diet and shes been pretty quiet as i feed her at night when i go to bed so keeps her occupied at night.
  13. hi,i done that about a week before i put her on here he said if he knew someone hed ring me.hes busy himself as i offered him the shepherd as well.
  14. come on someone must want her ,last chance before i have to put her on adtrader.
  15. thanks guys, like i said its took ages to reach this decision, and its in the best interest for the dog really.as stated before they cant be shut in all week they need to be occupied, she wont make a pet dog which why i got to sell her.
  16. bitch year old readvertised due to timewasters on epupz, then she had 2nd season which took lot out of her so i kept her for a bit, lives out hates cats not good around ferrets either.jumps 3ft gates. barks bit too much really will even bark if a rat comes into back yard.£100 to ensure good home. for sale due to same reason as lurcher.
  17. im gutted to have to sell my dogs due to wife having depression shes on diazepan and ive got 5 boys to look after.,i thought id be able to keep them until she got better but its taken longer than thought and the dogs are not getting enough attention and are barking frustrated in kennels and ive had complaints off neighbours. first up is the lurcher bitch ,its from heart of wales litter around the year mark ,not caught anything as yet, this dog has suffered the most from being shut in its going to need back to basics training on everything[will have loads of pent up energy] and its fitness broug
  18. The forest is for everyone, not just you, tosser, so get used to it. My question was about wild boar and the safety of my dogs. Free roaming sheep are not a problem for us. you did state that your dogs like to hunt anything.?if you were aware of the law its illegal to hunt with a bow in this country .also theres a lot of jumpy people up here including stock owners, the owners of free roaming sheep are called sheep badgers a lot carry guns in their cars when they do the rounds and when i moved here 4 yrs ago i was warned of which ones shoot unleashed dogs nr their stock and ask questions la
  19. if your dogs hunt anything and you had to give up the new forest due to ponies what are you going to do about the freeroaming sheep,im in the woods alot still not come into any boar plenty of deer an squirrels,oh and you cant camp anywhere theres set sites but to be honest youd be better off finding somewhere else to f**k around, cus the last thing the forest needs is a tosser like you rampaging around.
  20. the ears part is something i never considered ive had a few sarky comments about wind drag etc.mine shows a fascination with squirrels and will run to a tree base where one is sat a good 50+ yrds away.yet wont go after a rabbit sat next to a blackberry bush the same distance.which i find strange.shes also fascinated with cats which you find a few in the woods round here. i also find she behaves better out on her own as when i walked her with xbreed pup i got ,where it kept jumping at her face all the time she would try to put some distance between them.
  21. far as i know their the same if you do a search a few threads will come up,i own a pup thats first x gsd/greyhound bred by a forum member.heres a pic.
  22. well you wont get out of me where im from.
  23. im no expert on this but have seen this x mentioned twice in books, the first was that the author frank sheardown i think mentioned the only pure setters he seen once let out would vanish off the horizon, and the other might have been a richard jefferies book, and it was a setter x lurcher that was an excellant hare dog and some gentleman bought it before the keepers got to shoot it as they had an eye out for it.this was back in victorian times i think.
  24. yeah pretty sure you dont need a license now.
