  1. HEHE... I had a pink ferret once too: albino + makeup = trouble!
  2. Ohh... I'm glad some om them survived.. They seem happy.
  3. OMG.... I haven't been online for a few days and my tread gets spammed... It's a ferret I went to Germany to get her, bought her from a breeder down there. Her color is... Ehh.... They call it Chocolate, but i'm not sure. Don't like to many color definetions. So In my head she's just a very dark sandy. Both her mother and father is totally black "Solid" some might say. And there were 3 kits in the litter with this strange color.
  4. Here's my new jill. A bit speciel... Here with her mum - the mum's totally black
  5. This is a picture I took of my friends 8 weeks old black ferret. She has grown up today and looks like this. Copywright Ann Hillerslev and it is a ferret. As Flying Ferrets aka Anne says they are becoming more and more common in Europe, espicially Germany, Austria, but are also seen now in DK, Norway, Finland, Sweden and so on. Because people travel to Germany/Austria to get them. They are traced to one man, Peter Herzoghof, and some think the color origins from hybrids between wild european mink and ferrets.
  6. Funfuret - same here... When it comes to meat - there are only enemies and no surviovers. Thunder - Ihhh.. baby albinos are the moste cute kits! So small and white and like cotton balls with teeth. I totally forgot to menchen - that Alma is 6 years old. Looking great for her age right?
  7. Jill no. 1... SOOOO pretty!! The others are beautiful too, but I really have a soft spot for the sandy's.
  8. Me like... Me want!! Hehe... Don't surpose you would send a couple of the little polar bears to DK? *G*
  9. There they are....! The fantastic 3-some... I just love jer ferrets Anne.. Always so sweet and funny to play with. Can't wait to meet Mija...
  10. On behalf of all ferrets - Thank you Corky! TLC - yes.. Loads of it. Best luck with her, keep us updated. I'm sure that after a while she will be a beautiful sweet jill.
  11. Most stumpy tails occur when the mother accidently gets to "exited" when washing or lifting the young kits, and bites it of. Or if the kits is stuck in birth and the jill has to pull it out herself. Good looking ferrets there! Thumbs up.
  12. The ferts look great..! Real Ferrets as nature intended them. Cute as H***...! Best luck with the new court..
  13. Great...! Congrats with your new and bigger ferret-gang.
  14. When I clean my ferts ears I also use cotton buds like Flying Ferrets does. The ferrets ears are L-shaped, so you cant hurt the inside. But never the less, you should always be carefull..! *remenber kids - don't do this at home* Frontline does kill earmites - has done with mine, the few times my ferts had the "honor" of hosting the little buggers.
  15. Well. As you might have figured out by now, my ferrets are kept as pets. They live inside with me, now that we have moved to an apartment. Their basic diet consists of a mix of different dry food. In my current mix there is. (I know, they are pampered!) Royal Canin kitten 34 Hill's Feline Adult with Rabbit Hill's Feline Adult t/d (good for dental care - and not to big for ferrets to chew on) Hill's Kitten Chicken Hill's Nature's Best Feline Kitten chicken (just because it's organic) Totally Ferret Active James Wellbeloved Ferret Complete Besides that for basic, they get raw meat w
  16. Arrrrghh..... I'm so jealous...! I don't surpose I can convince any of you to fly to Denmark and build my one or your courts?
  17. My ferrets are O.K.. The hob's i'm keeping an eye on. They both have inlarged spleens, one also inlarged kidney the other hob has a gland with cell-changes. (maybe developing cancer) The jills are doing great, i'm expecting a new jill kit in 3 weeks or so from germany. Howcome on of the kits were born without a foot? That's sounds strange.
  18. They sure do look tired... So tired, some even seem to sleep on the rabbit. *laughing*
  19. Thank you for taking care of the little jill Stubby. And for taking care of ferrets in generel. Need more people like yourself around. *thumbs up* I haven't had any rescue ferrets come in here. But sometimes, some ferret become to big a handfull for their owners. Then I take them in for a while and "take" all the bites. A couple thow have stayed with me. Alma for example. (topic - for the love of albinos)
  20. Get well soon little kit...
  21. *can't stop laughing* That's so funny! Great pics, beautiful motives and a good sence og humor that they lined up like that..
  22. What a pair of absolutly gorgeous kits...! *julia is a little bit jealous*
  23. Hehe.... No no.... No Persil here.. Chlorine bleach does the trick getting her white.. She's spayed and therefore aren't producing so many hormones that get them all "yellow-ish". Maltenby - Hahaha! She is... Has the sweetest temperment, unless it's regarding her food. Then she is evil and greedy.
  24. Hi sweet sweet Anne... I hope you will enjoy yourself here as much as I do... The people here are kind of nice sometimes...
