NATO has a strong influence in the other countries I mentioned, funny that their influence didn't alarm Putin enough to retaliate. If you think he has a legit reason to invade, then we have a legit reason for the proxy war.

The difference is one was wanted, the other one wasn't. If Ukraine wanted to join NATO, they have every right to apply, Russia have no right to just invade a country for a land grab.

It's not, and the fact that Putin has stated this shows that he's lying. He wants control and influence over Ukraine, he thought the land grab would be over in no time. You can't just roll over for people like him.

The real truth is, Russia doesn't see Ukraine as a buffer state, they see it as a vassal state that they can control & influence. I can't believe they fall for the NATO expansion bullshit when Russia has a strong nuclear deterrent.

I don't know what difference that makes anyway, he's clearly confused lol. So, we have an ex-Russian enemy on it's very borders in Finland who are also part of NATO but let's go along with the NATO expansion narrative, the perfect excuse to invade a country.
