I’m afraid to admit, it’s been probably nearly a decade since I last worked a terrier, having lost the old boy a couple of years ago. He did enjoy spending his latter years being spoilt by my mrs, and living on the sofa. No big names or famous working lines I’m afraid to say, some good lads, and there are a lot on here who have many more years of experience and knowledge than I do. There are a couple of gentlemen on THL from the South East who I used to see from time to time back when. Obviously I respect their privacy so won’t mention them by name. In a round about sort of way I’m enquiring if there are any genuine dogs/pups in the South that will be about in the near future? It’s been a few years since I last had a working terrier, the old boy enjoyed his retirement and rightly so. Now the time has come when I’m thinking i should get another dog, and all my old contacts have either retired or sadly passed away. I think I already know the answer but how slim are the chances of finding a half decent dog or pup from genuine lads these days? I know the writing is inevitably on the wall for working dogs, but I’m hoping not just yet!
