How long would you say a cock needs to be in with the hen to fertile them as a canary hen made a nest then I put the Goldie cock in 3 days ago and laid first egg today which I thought to soon to fertile i thought atleast 5 days

Ok don’t suppose your mate wants to sell a female. I know someone through a mate who’s been after a 100 % pr for the last 5 years but all he can find is a inprint or social inprint his been breeding goshawks since 76 but his last female died so in need to find another he offering a good deal he’ll buy the bird and then gift half the clutch back, so was trying to find a female for him His got a 2.10 albinos

Yh season are all over the place I’ve just had a canary go down on 5 eggs but didn’t think there was a cock in there I’ve now emptied that aviary and now 50 canary’s to go though to find the cock bird or 2
