  10. They are as good as you are, if you are accurate enough to hit a rabbit, squirrel or pigeon etc in the head at 10 yards the catapult will kill it. if you cant shoot as well as that do NOT hunt with it. You will also need to use either lead or steel ball bearings and NOT stones. You can use the steel 9mm BBs but they are really too light for hunting, lead is better but you have to make your own which is a pain. For practice, until you are good enough to hunt, hang a sheet up as a back stop. Make sure there are a few folds on the groung to catch the ammo ang put a target up in front. Once yo

  12. They'll kick off, regardless. 5. It tastes like hedgehog. Not even remotely like chicken. 6. Perfectly safe, within the bounds of how safe it is to eat just about anything taken from the wild. Ye never know what something may have been about to drop dead with before ye killed it yeself Like anything else; If it's blood's bright red, it's fresh enough. 7. I have. But I don't consider it an issue. When will so called " Hunters " grow up and stop pissing in their own socks at the mention of eating something which can't be coursed? A Martian would have no such racially based b

  19. May I say Ive allways been a coursing man.[re ban],so I dont lamp hares,I'm not condemning those who do,each to their own.Last week I was on permission, lamping,in the poor light ,and owing to my dodgy eyesight I walked out to three half grown hares, only their gait told me what they were, closer inspection meant they were left alone.I have friends who take hares on the lamo, with dogs that would struggle to catch a daytime hare, good rabbiting dogs though they are. Ive seen hares lamped, some run reasonably well and give the dogs a blow out ,especially if they have been in the beam before, others ,s
