  1. Having a mooch about on YouTube this evening and this got recommended to me.. not sure if I'm posting it in the right place, but I'm sure a few of you out there with dogs may appreciate it I thought it a reet good watch .
  2. Nice shout on looking out for cheap meat at lidl and the like bud.. as others have said the price of raw off some hunters is bloody ridiculous here in England. Last time i was on social media, there was a lad on a group selling unprepared rabbits at £5 a go.. feck knows if he sold any, but the cheek at the ask is unreal. Thanks for the advice
  3. Thats a stella share, cheers @poxon! Hadnt thought of a wee bit of seaweed powder either, thats a great shout!
  4. @white van man thanks for the advice bud! Ive been hesitant to feed until she wont eat more, as she's seemingly got no off switch for food but I'll give it a try when we change diet.
  5. Wow, did not expevt such an influx of answers so quickly! Thanks guys @poxon your dogs eat well! Do you rely on the kibble for veggie nutrients and additinal carbs? @Balaur I hadnt thought of mince as a good introduction whilst she's still teething, great shout, thank you! How do you guys assess the weights and amounts of food out of interest?
  6. Morning folks. I've spent the past 2 days patiently waiting my copy of Running Dog Maintenance by Penny Taylor, to turn up, but the posty is killing me! I'm sure I could wait the couple of days more, but I'm interested in the group consensus as to what you guys feed your running dogs.. I've got a little 14 week old whippet x lurcher bitch who I've been feeding on puppy kibble as her teeth come through and she grows, but I'd like to transition her to a raw food diet as I certainly wouldnt eat kibble, and I dont see why she should have too either. I know the book I'm waiting
  7. Thanks @NEWKID She's an absolute beaut. Stole my heart and my wallet.
  8. Mother is Norfolk lurcher x whippet and sire, is the same but bred down once again with a whippet. She's an absolute mongrel for all intents and purposes lol. Thanks for the welcome.
  9. Hey guys, absolute newbie to fieldsports here. Being furloughed since April has meant that I've finally had the time to divulge in a lifestyle I've only ever dabbled with. Its mostly been spent getting my eye in on a ratting permission, and taking the odd rabbit, but I took a step closer to my dream of having a working dog and ruined my life by bringing home a little lurcher pup last weekend too. I dont use social media, so finding this site is a bit of a god send tbh. Looking forward to meeting some likeminds.
