  1. This is excellent. http://worldseafishing.com/forums/
  2. It is a generalisation and in a number of cases a 12ft lb is simply not up to the job...allowing for the margin of error to ensure a clean kill. Lets not get into a debate, but penetrating the wing feathers on a Pheasant is all but impossible with a 12ft lb, as with a Canada, the reasons can go on, even though we all know every air gunner only ever takes head shots!! ....and neck shots.
  3. Hi Edgar, it mentions on the BASC site they are not suitable quarry for air rifles, is this a shotgun elitism thing or am I chattin' ecrementoso?
  4. Hi Sean, I have no interest in shooting these birds, I'm just curious as to the reason, I've only ever shot rats and one Magpie, well maybe two maggies, don't they move too?
  5. Why are these not suitable quarry for air rifles?
  6. Lovely action, I could eat it meself.
  7. I've fished it a long time back, Cogden and West Bexington, no different from most places as far as I'm concerned, wasn't snaggy where we fished yer just gotta watch out on windy conditions as it can take the pebbles from underneath yer rather quickly. We had a good fire going on the beach from the plentiful flotsam. Apart from what we brought we also cooked a nice bass we caught, lovely.
  8. With respect Johnny, they live there, we visit for a week or two and, like me, most are lucky to get a few hours fishing.
  9. There's no way I'd pay out for a sea licence in Spain I've fished there many a time no problem. Considering the size of the fish they have a cheek, since you have enlightened us I'll be giving the whole of Spain a miss for our future holidays. Allelujahhhh Greece. The more I think of this the angrier I feel, we Brits spend billions over there on holiday and they want a licence from us? FFS!
  10. Plenty of mullet in the harbours, also bream but most are small, good fun tho' on a light rod, bait? bread and use the small limpets that are attached to the harbour walls and rocks, worked for me. Never done anything with spinners. I use a Shakespeare four piece travel rod, brilliant, take it with me everywhere, even when out on me bike.
  11. My advice is to buy a rod like the John Wilson Avon Quiver among my rods, this is one of the most used. It can be a float rod or a quiver, excellent all rounder. One I caught using it on the Dane.
  12. I've never fished lower than Spurn Point but here's a link to maybe some decent advice. http://www.sea-fishing.org/ftopicp-42901.html
  13. Lovely fish, they don't half bolt when yer hook them....re yer photos, a poor attempt with the square face masks, you'll never get in the KKK wearing them.
  14. Thanks for the pics, Al, nothing better than ogling some nice tits.
  15. If this was deliberate, I'd hang.... IT? I've lost a child, I know what they're going through, deterrents in this country are abysmal, gutted for them.
  16. Where I come from, most people are friends of Mark and Spencer and sell a lot of their gear. l
  17. This statement is untrue I had an Ox mainspring put into my old Meteor by my neighbour friend many years ago and I done away with hundreds of rats to 25yds or so. I had a cheap 4x20 scope on it, my son still uses it to good affect. I don't reckon I'm a top gun either, well not when leaning on my white stick.

    rats !!

What gun was it mate? Steve I used a springer, BSA Meteor, I put a new Oxspring in it, done a great job, got rid of hundreds of the buggers, my lad has it now, I own a Daystate Harrier, lovely rifle but as I say, its dormant until I get a somewhere to shoot. I'd also like to say I've put a white sheet of hardboard across the back of the garden and when the rat passes, bingo! try it. This was up to 25 yds. I've tried all sorts, painting a light red so it shines a soft pink colour, they come out under that, much better than harsh white light if yer gonna use lights.
  19. Thats proof they're not shyte.

    rats !!

I've heard all kinds over the years but for me its very simple, bread! this is what I used to do... I put a mound of small pieces of bread out a couple of metres from the back of my garden, I'd then throw a handful of rubbed bread up in the air, go put the kettle on, have a sandwich or a can of beer wait till the bread comes down....nahhhh! I jest, I sat at the bedroom window, let the rat take the bread, give it confidence, maybe a couple of times, make sure the pieces are small. I'd get up to 16 a night sometimes, they'd come out facing me, I've hit them through the head and its co
  21. I'd like to add that you cannot tar the whole police force with the same brush, I have mentioned and advised against making a complaint, that I'd never do. I've looked after children in care and the police have helped out in some hard times which was much appreciated. There are ar$'oles in every walk of life and we have to put up with some in the police force.
  22. Yer only waited an hour some people know Jack Sh!t about rat hunting, the 20 views maybe were those who knew nowt, the lads on here don't need prompting, Som, a bit of patience goes a long way.
