  1. Bout time the Premier League had a real big club in the division, here's to next season L.U.F.C.
  2. Have you got any pics your days out hogging and the catch dogs you use fella?
  3. We will have to agree to disagree, you're the one who's walking the walk so I can only believe what I've seen and been told.?
  4. I don't understand what you're getting at with the bayers? Yeah it's clear they get stuck in once the catch dog has hold, sometimes they mix it up on their own. Of course the mental make up of a dog is important but to try and say the physical dimensions of an animal doesn't mean anything is crazy, especially going up against huge hogs. If it didn't then you would be hunting hogs with just your patterdales, they have the right mentality, why bother with the APBT?
  5. Yes, weight & strength. But the AB's I've seen do want to be there, they don't just grab hold of the ear and then ease off. Once they get hold of the ear most need a breaking stick to be taken off. You don't really need the intensity of an APBT to do the job, other breeds do it. Look at the Bull Arabs, they are Bull Terrier blooded dogs aren't they? Look at the end of this clip, a snippet I know but does that dog look like it really doesn't want to be there?
  6. Which videos are you speaking of buddy? Those in the snow are in Russia I believe. I don't think they are the best AB's because like you said they were baying before one decided to get stuck in. I posted the video cos you asked me to show one of 250lb+ Wild Boar being taken, it looks like the hunters wanted no part of the Boar and were just slipping their dogs for an ego trip. Can I ask then why APBT lads still use AB's alongside their APBT's as catch dogs, the lads I've spoke to over the pond say they do so because they are useful on the bigger hogs. You know as well a
  7. And the same here. ? No need for the petty arguing.
  8. Exactly, a good thread turned in to playground antics because of a certain few. I would say 99% of threads end up like this.
  9. What truth? And asking about who's experience? You have a habit of acting the comedian and don't put much input in to threads apart from sly digs. You're used to getting the last word on your high horse, difference is you spit your dummy out when someone does slate you. Max has as much right to voice his opinion as anybody, you and your mates will have to get over it. ?
  10. Are you the forum prefect, you had no problems when your pal spoiled my thread.
  11. I'm not trying to be an arse but if folk are trying to say that I'm lying then I'm going to put up a debate. You say that nobody in Dixie ever used AB's. Alan Scott lives in Alabama, he bred dogs that were used as catch dogs. You claim to know his buddies, so you knew Hines, Bailey, Casey, Painter etc? Are you saying that none of these bred and hunted with American Bulldogs over there? Again this is not me asking what you think is best, this is me asking are you denying that the above folk did such that? Just to say I'm carrying this on out of pure jealousy, it's wank over her
  12. A couple of clips here in Russia AB's on Wild Boar, now must admit these AB's don't look the best, Johnson type. The Hunters though clearly didn't know what they are doing, lucky they didn't get mangled.
  13. That hog that the red-nosed APBT is bigger than 150lb, you weren't speaking of the Joshua kennels tape? Why are you moving the goalposts again, first you ask me to show you AB's doing the job now you say they must be 250lb+. And as for just using the one catch dog, when you're taking the massive hogs they often use more than one catch dog as you see here.
  14. He said hog? I'd be worried if that dog weighed 200lb and it was that small next to that hog. ?
  15. You got the scales ready? Is this Babe? What's your guess? Looking at it again I'm saying 200-250lb? Bit hard to judge when the things under watta. ?
  16. Hey King I might take up your offer to go see Rickshaw, I've just found out through Ancestry.com I have a 5th-8th cousin in Alabama. ?
  17. Just leave it now King, set up a thread for paragliding or something.
  18. Most of these hogs were caught live, check out the monster pig at the end. These dogs are doing their job are they not? The hunting DVD that my cousin had was even better and had more catching footage.
  19. A Nice red nosed APBT doing it's job. Remember though this is video footage so may not be true. Warning Sensitive Viewers: There's a black man on this video.
  20. Stan you're the wise mediator of the forum, need I say more. ?
  21. Nice post but a few questions, if the dog has a good hold of the pig by the ear then how much stick will it actually take from a hog that you say is giving it it's all? So you had Scott around for tea, do you acknowledge that he bred AB's that were used has catch dogs? The same has Hines, Bailey, Casey? Again this is not a competition of what you think is better, just asking in general.
