  1. I should imagine Roman gear is worth the most, think he has found some Roman coins before as well as Norman, think the last find was some Queen Elizabeth I coins.
  2. I might have started it, can't remember. ? I should imagine the anticipation makes it quite exciting even if it doesn't float your boat. I can get why folk get in to it, you're delving in to the history of the UK whenever you make a find. A bit like hunting, there's do's and don'ts, not sure of the ins and outs of it all. I think the helmet at Crosby Garrett was only a foot deep, mad.
  3. Can't say the hobby has ever really tickled my fancy but I suppose it can be very interesting. There's a lad from Carlisle who's in to it, I think he's more in to the money potential of a big fine rather than the history of it cos he's a proper hungry bastardo and we always have the crack with him whenever he brings the subject up which is inevitable. What eats him up is that he had land at Crosby Garret which happens to be the place where one of the biggest finds in the UK was unearthed, a copper Roman helmet which went for a few million pound. He's forever showing us his li
  4. Ask @stop.end he only works other people's dogs.
  5. I'm hitting you from that many sides you think you're surrounded. I know I have no hunting dogs, I've not hidden the fact. You on the otherhand don't and each and every time you're told to put up you say you'll use your mates' dogs, what's up, mummy won't let you own one. ? I've posted pics of terriers I used to have, and I'm sure I've posted pics of lurchers on one of my many accounts, do keep up son. ?
  6. Hahahahaha, you going to call me out with one of your mates' dogs when I get mine. ?
  7. What about guiding a fox in to a pen like Babe the pig with his sheep?
  8. They can keep it then, rather poach em. ?
  9. Question is, did they accept? I personally would pay money for good land if given the opportunity, worth it's weight in gold.
  10. Hancock or did you breed it yourself Phil?
  11. Those that can do both are usually bred off good stock.
  12. But without dogs there'd be no dams, I'd say they are equally as important. As for dams that throw diamonds whatever is put over her, that's not the dam that's doing it, it's the breeding behind her.
  13. She took after the terrier but wasn't blind in one eye and definitely wasn't a lesbian. ?
  14. I was nobbing a nymphomaniac years back and her scabby old bitch terrier used to fcuk the fur off one of it's toy teddies, used to put me off seeing the little horrible thing panting like mad bang at it. I had to tell her to kick the rat outside, should have necked it.
  15. If I were to guess I'd say it's the breeding behind them that's more important than wether it's a good dog or a good bitch.
  16. Can't pull off an accent for shit though. ?
  17. That's where it becomes interesting as like has been said in Greyhounds it tends to be the males that dominate the racing scene.
  18. Still cnuts, read the first paragraph.
  19. Told me he's looking at flat caps as we speak.
  20. How do you know that, you're a secret whippet lover aren't ya. ?
  21. That's what I would think, I mean there's no physiological reasons why a bitch would be a better athlete. I just think it's coincidence that bitches have won more of the big coursing comps.
  22. How many bitches you had over the years mate, you think they make better hare catchers or never noticed a difference?
