I should imagine Roman gear is worth the most, think he has found some Roman coins before as well as Norman, think the last find was some Queen Elizabeth I coins.

I might have started it, can't remember. ? I should imagine the anticipation makes it quite exciting even if it doesn't float your boat. I can get why folk get in to it, you're delving in to the history of the UK whenever you make a find. A bit like hunting, there's do's and don'ts, not sure of the ins and outs of it all. Can't say the hobby has ever really tickled my fancy but I suppose it can be very interesting. I was nobbing a nymphomaniac years back and her scabby old bitch terrier used to fcuk the fur off one of it's toy teddies, used to put me off seeing the little horrible thing panting like mad bang at it. I had to tell her to kick the rat outside, should have necked it.
