    the best set up for salmon is length of fence wire that wont spook the fish . now for the snare by far the best electric fence wire . connect the two then slip the snare over the tail and pull forward and up then run back and the job is done . thats what i was told not that i would ever think of doing it

    This sounds sensible Ginge,remember you can easy take 'em off,you can't put 'em back on mate........don't be too hasty. i have heard of this problem before how about taking the nail of and killing the root to take the pressure of toe if that does not work then you can think about the toe you ran the dog you give it its best chance they need road work and nails trimmed well back hope this helps

    i have tried flushing rabbits i find them to head strong terriers that is always get in the way when the lurcher is doing its retrieve making them hard in the mouth and shy to come to hand . i find the cocker far more bidable and are very easy to stop chasing and let lurcher do its work plus if it does peg one in seat chances are its softer in the mouth than the lurcher and quieter in the kennel so what does terriers have going for them for the rabbit man plus if you where on wrong side of the fence cant justify all the noise they make

    seen the heaters u on about real good. got to say if a man has worked out in the cold and wet i think he would want a heater and some bedding or it may be us scots are a bit soft .millet cant be a scot hees nae bonny enough just a wee joke.

    before i start iam no expert but i feel road work is must for feet and nails shorter nails i find less injuries to the feet ihad friends from the south ie fen area mainly because of rock that lies in rushes branches they did not want to run there dogs but was it coincidens foot injuries on both dogs. also throwing a ball was mentioned i have found a small rubber rugby shape ball with plenty bounce so when it lands the dog does not no which way it is going to bounce it helps k eep them sharp in the mouth the dogs seem to realy enjoy it the fact they have to jink and dive gets them ready fo

    my friend got poaching by a game keeper by the name of fat bruce hoo sat on his face once he got him 2 the ground and radiod for astance the rest of cruw wanted 2 set about my mate but oncelearning he had been farting in his face knowing big bruce he was warned not 2 come back but 1 keeper nuw of power bruces arse offered my 2 nearest road as he had allready taken the valves out 3 landys so had decline incase bruce was 1 of the valve victoms had sit out 2 with same blokes and after sitting wee fat bruce i think my mate could of had heftyclaim

    one for the workshop or if u are skint u get a gas bottle 2 of first take the tops of then fill water 2 empty gas then cut 2 holes 1 for wood 1 for ash second bottle cut the 2inch bigger and take the plates from bottle no2 weld hinges onto plates add a bit fire proof materal for a seal add 2 latches and chimny which is best put slight angle 2 get the best of the heat also i heard if u get a large milk carton and fill it with saw dust and old engine oil that alone will burn for 3 hours i am talking about a standard bottle ps god help us if LL trys it

    my mate can do that too, he sort of twists the belly then swings it down verticaly and the guts come out the arse. i recomend surgical gloges while gutting espeshelly befofreb lunch or putting your hands near your mouth no shame in not shitting through the eye of a needle :sick:

    thanks for your time and advice i think i like bill88 words best most of my shooting will be on the lamp so until i can put pellet bang on i can always fall back on the wee lurcher to clean up after me
