    That’s all fine and dandy as everyone has opinions on things but the American pit bull terrier being an actual breed of dog would be what one would call a fact and in this one that has been agreed upon. In genetics there’s a term I can think of it for the life of me but how it works is the dogs who became known for gameness so the bulldog the one used for bull baiting.     I mean it’s not like a good amount of this stuff was written and documented or anything like that. And as for different types as you say i wouldn’t really say that’s accurate. These dogs were always bred for performance first right from the very beginning yes there are variations in structure but they all have a similar overall appearance. I’ve worked and bred these dogs for the last 17 years as did my father and grandfather and both used there dog for the purpose they were bred for. My grandfather was good friends with Tudor they both lived in Oklahoma up until my grandfather moved the family

    I honestly jut don’t care. And I never once made any claim as far as my knowledge of working terriers to ground goes. And my knowledge on that subject is really not that important for the argument I was making as anyone who is even moderately intelligent would be able to have the very basic understanding of the type of work for me to make my argument.     I would love to know how saying that as a whole and on average the game bred bulldog is going to produce more dog that prove game than any other breed is talk crap about your culture. Time and time again guys on this forum have said that the terriers job usually isn’t getting into a scrap. So when one dog has been specifically bred for the last 200 or so years to engage in combat where the rules that are most often used are designed for the gamest out of the two I truly don’t understand how a person wouldn’t agree

    Considering I wasn’t the one who brought it up in the first and as far as getting into any kind of morality issue as far as mating dogs goes not going there.     For most people getting a good dog now and then is plenty good to them. But there are people who want consistency in the dogs there working. It is very possible to get more than one good dog in a litter amd also be able to do so litter after litter. I understand that lots of people think talking a good worker to another good worker is the only way but breeding that way will end in disappointment more times than not.     It’s the superior base part that those who disagree are having a hard time with. I am in 100% agreement with you though. People seem to not understand that inbreeding like this isn’t something most can or should do. It requires someone who has been successfully breeding a line of dogs for quite a while and would mean that person would know the good and the bad traits within the line. Breeding a line long enough for the breeder to see the genetic defects that occur and do the necessary culling that is needed takes years and dedication. This is also done with any trait not desired by the breede

    Believe what you will it’s does mean a whole lot to me. A dog whose muzzle has been chewed straight off without a single noise made and when the dog had the choice to pack up and go home or continue the battle his decision was to continue. Giving up never even occurred to that dog. If you truly feel you’ve heard of or witnessed a dog as game as that little buckskin warrior I would have to respectfully say you live in a fantasy world.     I would also say the the hardest biting bulldogs weren’t the shaking type either. The ones that could break a dog down in 30 minutes or less from my experience were the ones who put there whole body into the bite and the other dog looked as if it had suffered very little damage as far as being cut up or a lot of bleeding. Those were the type of dogs that anything they put there mouth on was completely useless from that point on a lot of internal damage with very little external damage
