  1. The two most important factors Buster are, what he want's it for, so he can determine if its a half, five eighths or three quarter, that'll do what he needs AND that it's from well worked stock, on both sides, plenty of poor grade stuff out there, so make sure both parents are doing the job he want's his for. Do the homework and all will be well... well said mate......... one of my sons wi his bully......lol Cracker!... 'Ye can't beat a bit 'o Bully' lol..stay ouuta the black an in the red ....

  6. well you see ive been told that they are good dogs by some people but then i have been told by others that they dont work very well, im just asking for other opinions. usually they are good wee dogs...hopefully the whippet an beddy used in the cross were workers...my dogs sire is a beddie/whipXbeddie/whip an he'll tackle anything you point him at..game as fcuk an plenty of pace an drive too...(within the confines of the law of course)all the best with the dog mate..chris..
  7. sorry to see what happened to your dog mate ...hope he makes a full and speedy recovery...atb..chris
  8. Id agree abouts coats but how you can makeyour mind up about doffentlines etc from seeing a handfull of dogs run a few times is amazing your a better dog man than myself. All i can say is i have and still own a heartbreak dog i have ran him into the ground and he's never jacked or turned his nose up at anything, prey drive through the roof (still is) still gets out to put the boot in every now and again at 12 1/2, solid head, real strong jaw power, brilliant coat, excellent nose, the list goe's on and on. If i could have another i would but imo they dont come like this anymore, if im wro
  9. as i said previously they tick all the boxes for what i need....but thats personal preference not a widely held opinion....atb..chris..
  10. THEY WERE MORE POPULAR UP HERE AT 1 TIME MATE. HOWEVER I THINK THE LACK OF GENUINE BEDLINGTON BLOOD TO BRING IN & THE RISE IN POPULARITY OF BULL CROSSES FOR QUARRY THAT WOULD BITE BACK LED TO THEIR FALLING OUT OF FASHION/ I KNOW THE OWNER OF YOUR DOGS SIRE & HE WOULDNT HAVE KEPT IT IF IT WASNT A DECENT DOG... B DOWNEY FROM THE PAISLEY AREA KEPT & BRED BEDLINGTON GREYHOUNDS & PRODUCED SOME DECENT ANIMALS ALSO, BUT HE DIDNT HAVE A LARGE GENE POOL, AS ALL ROUND TYPES I HAVE SEEN SOME GOOD DOGS FROM THIS BREEDING alright mate...well you can vouch for the sire of this litter a br
  11. Any pics of Ozzy? How's he bred? dont have any on the computer mate ...hes collie/whippet/greyhoundXbedlington/whippet... i'll try to get some up soon..all the best, chris...pic of him at 6 weeks old....
  12. looks identical to mine..... mine's called ozzy...
  13. Would that be based on experience of the breed?,or the usual ignorance?. well said i have a beddy bitch rilliton, gouchcommen and she is the best little worker i have ever had.till she done har back in still likes to get out tho and flush rabbits for the lurcher. George Newcombe did from time to time introduce a bit of Border terrier blood into his stock as he said it was difficult to find what he wanted in some of the bedlingtons at the time. he put the border into it to stop the dogs getting the liver disease that beddlingtons get well my theory is based on this, how many
  14. the greyhound a had was a year an a half old when a took her......but she was a plank of wood all her days lol...
  15. haha itsjust always soggy and drips here and there just wanted to make sure its normal cause this it the first male dog ive owned its quite normal mate like a teenager who cant keep his hands off his bellend lol
  16. if i was you i would steer clear of anything thats maybe gonna grow too big, deerhound, saluki types etc...as you previously mentioned a collie or beddie cross would prob suit you for rabbit an rat, dogs wi a good bit of collie in them tend to be quite easy to train owing to the intelligence of the collie....there also capable of taking other quarry as well if you let them,my young dog is comin on great an has both collie an beddie in him..hes a collie/whippet/greyXbeddie/whippet.....just make sure the pup you buy is off parents who work....atb in your search mate...chris..
  17. ma dog is nearly a year old an has nuts like golf balls lol...he leaks a wee bit here an there but its not like a moneyshot or anything.....
  18. a had a greyhound bitch(my avatar) an she came from a track kennel...first time she ever caught a rabbit she bolted off into the sunset with it an returned about an hour later tongue hangin out coverd in mud cow sh*t an bits of rabbit fur an blood.....she also ran a hare, was a good course until the hare nipped through a wire fence an she went straight into it at full speed an hit it with such force she knocked a fencepost down.... tbh the dog was a total knobhead lol...but she was a trier so a couldnt fault her as she always gave 100%...
  19. a got 2nd in that one mate with the 3/4 bred saluki, well done well done mate....yer dog was a cracker.....good to have a wee chat with ye after it.....keep in touch bud...atb...chris...
