    It was a shame about that dog mate....nice dog though cheers mate ya dont have miss a dog when they go ya compare all the dogs ya get after to it but that hunting got to keep the head up i know mate ayup pal like the look of your bull/wheaton x have you any pics of litter mates. is it dog or bitch have you showed it out if its worked heres a photo of my 1st x at about 13/15 months is that a first wheaten greyhound chappy.....or first cross bull/wheaten

    To be honest the cross doesnt concern me .......most of the time i like a lurcher to have speed,stamina,good feet,abit of brain,and a nice gutsy lurcher!..........the allround lurcher but i wouldnt mind a dog from say a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 saluki X 3/4 greyhound 1/4 wheaten.....should get a handy type dog that is versatile enough to do all most anything put in front of it and also catch the intended quarry aswell

    i think greyhounds should be good rabbit catchers...they are fast enough and a fair strike rate.....cheers

    i agree, was having this conversation with a mate the other day. Unfortunately around here theres just not enough around to work 2 dogs anymore. yes mate totally agree....but if you have a good dog in youre kennel then you should try and find it some decent hard working graft....especially if the dog is good at its job good hunting....

    What cross are them lurchers mate good shooting and retrieving..

    depends what type of quarry you intend to hunt.......if you are hunting say foxes and rabbits then you need alot of that quarry around you to have for the dogs to run...so if youre getting a high number of foxes a year then you could do with a few dogs in youre kennel, especially biting back quarry....at the most i would say 3 lurchers and maybe a good bushing sprocker type dog....but i usually only have 2 lurchers/lamping dogs a person at the max......but i think 3 lurchers i more than suffice providing you have the ground and the quarry on that ground to test the dog to its full potential ..

    I REALY FANCY ONE OF THESE,ID LIKE A HALF CROSS BACK TO A FIRST CROSS BULL GREY,I WONDER HOW THAT WOULD TURN OUT LIKE? NEVER SEEN A WHEATON WORK,HAW ARE THEY FOR GAMENESS?????? i suppose first cross to first cross would be good at the end of a dig and just outright killing..........but most lads do allround foxing work so you need a dog that can shift a fair bit aswell ste hows about 3/8 5/8 to 3/8 5/8.....fast and should kill...........cheers YEAH SOUNDS PROMISING I WILL BE SURE TO TRY ONE OUT,IM GOING TO WAIT TILL I GET MY PUP GOIN FIRST BEFORE I GET ANY MORE what cross is

    From monday to friday the dogs get walked daily, when i get in from work .......from friday-sunday im either out bushing or lamping .......and the dogs go out 2-3 times on a walk of a weekend...cheers
