  4. iv seen the best of bred dogs, big scaredies when it comes to showing heart, its how the dogs are brought on when young, most of the beddy xs iv seen, only lived with 2 prior to the one i own at the moment, have had plenty of guts and can hold there own,and anyway your only allowed to hunt rats or rabbits now if the dog has been givin the confidence as a youngster, adolsent,it will give anything with the name charlie a run for its money, most folk double up on them anyway, they may not own up to it :secret: just like those folk that catch 10 a night with there dogs no there not perfect no dog is

  10. my dog is 19 1/2 tts,to be honest mate iv never tried him on chicken eaters but i would give him ago,he does have a very high pain threshold as he never complains when cut or anything when hunting you have to be able to say right hes had enough and go home,a bull greyhound grabbed him at a show when i raced him ,my dog had the loore in his mouth,he turned and flew at it obviously this dog was quadroople his weight and grabbed him and shook him about before he backed down it wasnt until the next day when i noticed a small hole on his shoulder about the size of a 50p piece, never complained, but h

  13. hi mate personally i feed mine the night before,i dont like it when my ferrets lay up espesially when its deep and thats what happens when my ferrets are hungry and they kill, but when they have been fed i find if they do kill down below they will have a bit chew and move on, less chance of them falling asleep from a big feast, and more chance of little coneys bouncing into the nets all the best mate
  14. hello folks i was just wondering is it true that if a jill is not mated she will become infected,iv had ferrets most of my life,i have a vasectamated hob and 2 jills at the moment, but i have also kept jills before on there own and never had any problems,be gratefull to hear your thoughts and experiences, cheers

  20. hi mate the fun and games of lurchers eh :censored:i had the same problem just keep practising recalling her in even when out walking,i squeek my dog in as he has more chance of hearing it,its bad when the selective hearing kicks in just persivere, they will always have a sniff but the penny should drop eventually and fingers crossed start returning quicker with the tail wagging ready to go again, hope all goes well,
  21. hi mate,iv only ever experienced a 1/8th merle collie grey and a 3/4grey1/4border collie, the 2nd one my dad owned he wasnt much of a looker but very very clever, down to my dads training i guess,he put alot of time into him as a pup, sadly he had to be put to sleep, the 1/8th merle is my mates its very fast prety much a greyhound but with better feet, and more stamina, very good with old long ears, went down to highgate stadium and won the marathon with her, cracking bitch heres a little pic, good luck with your decision
