Lurcher has ruptured front toe ligament on glass
zak123 replied to zak123's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Thanks for the reply I am not going down the toe removal! I am going to see how it pans out -
zak123 started following Cut pad on lurcher and Lurcher has ruptured front toe ligament on glass
-
Lurcher has ruptured front middle toe ligament on a tin can ,toe is stuck in the air vet reckons toe might have to come off ,can a dog still run with the damaged toe
-
She has been stiched before on her foot she never touched them !!! But the sock, soap and masking tape sounds like a plan
-
Been to same vet for years so I hope it works !
-
The vet knocked the dog out and cleaned up the wound The vet knocked the dog out and cleaned up the wound he said it has cut through a lot of the blood vessels and if the pad does not knit together it could lose the toe ! He has wrapped it up and tried to stich it up but as it was so far back on the foot it was hard to do, I am going back to vets on Monday ,for him to have another look to see how things are going with the wound !
-
I know mate ,a lot of vets are not good at their jobs ,I have the dog back now so only time will tell !!!!
-
He has stiched it up not picked dog up yet
-
Lurcher has cut front pad straight to the bone vet says there might be a chance the blood vessels it has severed might not join back up and it could end up loosing the whole middle toe has anybody had experience of this situation, basically the front part of pad could literally die !!!!!
-
