Sure you won't regret the move to raw feeding....possibly except if you spill some tripe and pick it up with bare hands :sick: . I suspect that the number of chicken wings you mention won't be enough for your daughters's dogs if thats their only meal tho I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will be better able to advise you. On the days mine get two meals they all get 3 chicken wings(unless really big ones) in the morning:from how you describe the dogs they're bigger than mine(collie x lab; 25" lurcher and jtr x).They have a pack(450g) of tripe,lamb or chicken with veg at night time b

I feel the same as a few of the other posters:no real experience of working dogs so would feel like a bit of a fraud making comment most of the time. I do enjoy reading most of the posts and believe that I can learn a lot even tho' I'm only "lurking". Might not be a bad thing having people who are pro working dogs,even if they don't actually participate, around ..... can give me some ammunition when I try to persuade people that not everyone who works their dogs simply treats them as machines. great story Buster,cheered me up(in a perverse sort of way) after a dodgy day at work.Pity the people who think all working dogs are coldly treated and not loved and cared for(by the majority of people who work dogs) can't read it. Hope your new dod brings you as much joy....and less vet bills.

guy who works beside me said today theres been a hawk roosting on a tree near his house since Sat.Bird has a bell and jesses on;he called SSPCA about it but it was still there this morning.He lives near Bisopbriggs shopping centre(Glasgow).Anyone think they know the owner let me know and I'll put them in touch with him.

hows the wee bitch getting on robyo?reading this thread brought back memories of my lurcher showing similar symptoms(tho not nearly as bad,thankfully) after buggering off to **** the rubbish left out at the back of a local factory .fortunately his vet bill wasn't anything like yours that and the fact he flipped over after putting a leg in a hole the next week quickly made me get insurance! hope the bitch is okay.

were some for sale on ebay;I got a 60 min one of lurchers working/coursing for £7.99(including p&p).Don't know what quality is like yet but reckoned it was worth taking a chance...much cheaper than ones Countrymans Weekly has.
