  1. Let's just hope we get a few more years out if it be a shame to see it finished happy hunting lads
  2. Any working ferret for sale or a couple of young ferrets from working stock in southern Ireland
  3. What's everyone's taughts on the ban of fox hunting in ireland lads if it passes were all f****d
  4. Ye i like that cross in fareness well able for the job and not gone 4 fields from you there an ideal cross for small tight covers they won't leave an inch of it untouched
  5. My bitch came from Cork aswell. Very good little bitch won't leave a fox in cover there a great little cross
  6. Thanks mighty celt sounds like the ideal cross for her. Are you in the south of ireland
  7. A fine lump there most lads around me just keep rabbit dogs and Russel types I'm looking for something like my own bitch that's her there
  8. Thanks harryshounds I've a springer beagle bitch my self barking on fox she's coming in season soon and looking for a decent dog to cover her would like to try a decent springer or springer beagle but not many around here and don't want to use a beagle dog I like the dogs hunting close enough to us as we only hunt small covers and patches of furze
  9. Anyone in ireland using barking springers or springer beagle for foxing in ireland
  10. Sound lads she wont be in heat for another few weeks so I've a bit of time to think about it. It's just hard to find a good honest dog and honest owner that'll tell the truth about the dog some lads standards are a lot different than others. The parents and grandparents were exceptional dogs flattening foxes day and night week in week out and the two I have are well tested aswell . I don't sell any pups I only give them to the lads I hunt with so they won't be to far if I need to use one in the future
  11. Thanks for the help lads I'll try it and see how it goes nothing ventured nothing gained I suppose .
  12. There bull cross and the dog I covered my bitch with was an 11 year old working collie hound he was a master on foxes but the pups only made rabbit dogs neobliviscaris1776. I line bred with finches and canarys and bred some nice native cheveral goldfinches with white heads and wings but I never tried it with the dogs poxon
  13. I've only the brother and sister left penda. mother and father are dead and so are grandmother and grandfather
  14. What's everyone opinion on in breeding lurchers. I've litter mates 9 year old dog and bitch both working 100 percent I bred the bitch to a dog two year ago but the pups didn't turn out the way I wanted them to. Mother and father and grandmother and grandfather to these dogs were really good workers and I've no relations to these dogs left but want to keep the line going would yous recommend full brother full sister mating
