    Read the thread, I am not condoning the behaviour of the lads/men what ever they were, if they were using threatening behaviour and had caused damage there are Laws to prosecute such acts, my beef is the £400 fine for killing rats and the use of a helicopter and tax payers money. I dont know all the facts, may be the copter was called because of the threats, and the answer is no, I wouldnt like them on my land, may be there is a history of incidents here.

    Hello All Especially any readers from Liverpool, seen on the site a report about young teenagers prosecuted un the the new Hunting Act, Police helicopter used etc, f**king typical, country is f**cked with vioilent crime, mass immigratiion from the war torn shit holes of the world, shootings on the streets virtually ever day and we have time and expenditure to deploy Police resources for rat killers!     I agree 100% with your views on needing the Fed, you are, in my opinion half right on the other orgs and especially the old BFSS. A lot has changed since the BFSS changed to the Countryside Alliance, some will say it was only a name change, I disagree, they do work on behalf of all. But because of the various amount of sectors in hunting there will always be divisions amongst ourselves, unfortunatly thats life.     Hello Wilf Maybe if you and the many 100s possible 1000s of other hunting enthuisiasts had joined a club some years ago, written to MPs, and if you didnt? Attend Rallies to show support our cause for terrier work/lurcher work may have had more back bone and clout. Your request and support for a club with a defence fund to help members fight prosecution and get them proper legal assistance would be ideal and very beneficial.     Hello Sparky, I do enough and as much as I can. the reason there is secrecy around the Fed is to prevent Anti infiltration, as you will see in the next couple of weeks has already happened. I dont preach as I am not a priest, but I will put straight liars and offer advice to the new members if I can, if I dont know I dont comment.     sensible and true comments elisderyn, but is the description of the meaining hard "gets hold, no sound and keeps hold" or is it the terrier that pushes the quarry hard in to the stop (if it dosent bolt) and stays and takes what is thrown at it and doesnt quit and will do this every time it is worked? To me a Hard terrier is a terrier that when fit for work is a terrier that will enter, hit its quarry and push it to a stop no matter what even if the quarry has other ideas, the terrier holds it there, takes its stick and gives as much back, never gives in and never comes out (within reason!

    Hello elisderyn, I understand people are pissed off with our club reps, orgs and societies etc some have tried to defend and have done so, some dislike terrier work and dont really want to be part of us or want us to be part of them. My own personal opinion is that we still need such organisations such as the Fed and the CA, however, BASC did let us down a lot but as disapointed as I am with them we still need them. I do not 100% fully support any of the orgs, there are some of their policies I do not fully support, but being realistic we are from such a diverse group of supporters it woul

    Hello All Good post, always a good post when there is a variety of replies and very few silly replies at that. I personally like my terriers to work their quarry gamely, gamely in the sense they boss their quarry out or in to a stop and if the latter keeps it there until dug to. In my opinion there is a difference between hard and mute terriers and the termonoligy, earth work requires a variety of approach of a type of terrier and I do agree with comments about breeding hard to hard or should the termonology be game to game!
