  1. This is my daughters .177 HW30k.

Another member from here very kindly sorted it for her - It had a full strip, deburr, polish and regrease. He removed a couple of coils from the spring to make it easier to cock (spaghetti arms) and, completely sorted the galling issue.

Now, it's an absolute joy to use.

The only trouble is, she much prefers her PCP. She does still uses this but, only very occasionally.

Anyway, today I gave it a go at 25yrds indoors with some JSB RS, off my knee. After a few test shots, I did a 10 shot group.....

I'm thinking this could be a very capable, lightweight rifle for when I'm walking through the copse

  2. Don't give up searching. It's easy to get disheartened but, the leg work will pay off.

Exploit any link that you can to get in somewhere - try telling the other local clubs that the owner of your old permission advised getting in touch.

    Atb and good luck

  3. I'd love an open fire.

The last time we had one was when I was a kid and we lived in a mobile home.

I'd go with Dad to get the coal, he'd pay for 1 sack and take 2. I remember carrying one home when I was 7.

It was heavy and smelly and dusty - Happy days :)

  4. This was on my daughters pcp rifle and it was hardly used.

It's an AGS Cobalt 4-16x50 half mildot IR scope. It has front parallax adjustment from 10yrds to infinity.

It has the yellow and clear flip ups - these are scratched from living in the gun bag pocket. Also comes with a screw in sunshade.

The scope has a 30mm tube. No mounts.

It comes boxed with original paperwork and lense cloth.

It's in excellent condition, no crimps or marks and works perfectly.

I'm looking to swap this for a scope level - preferably the type that attaches to an 11mm dovetail and, one of things that attaches to a 30mm scope with a short length of weaver rail attached.

i had a rottweiler for 12 years. they are a excellent family dog and great with children and a level headed guard dog . unforunately they can have health problems,

A friend of mine was well into rottys. He always had bitches. He took in a dog that someone else couldnt control amd said he was always unsure with it. One day it turned on him when out walkin and put hin on his arse. his bitch who was half the size ended up nailin it.

I wanted one but he put me off them because I had to think about misus n kids.

the bitches are lot more reliable temps, alot of the male type guard breeds ,at some point try to dominate . my mate got a young Boerboel bitch just under 12 months old, real nice temp . they had a bitch for that reason, as the breeder said they have a easier time with bitches than dogs, and 100 lb boerboel bitch stop any man she built like a tank lol
just googled boerboel.....christ, they are a unit and half.

they are mate, prob one of the best guards in the big breeds. there vid going around on youtube where a boerboel grabs a black bloke , who was trying to break in the house, this is in S/A the boerboel smashed him all over the place, not a breed to mess with . there like big bullmastiffs but hell of alot more healthy and agile , if i wanted a big guard breed it would be these .
I had a look at these last night.

They are an impressive lump - even the puppies are muscled and ready
