  1. Matts Bushcraft type knives will do the lot with ease. Hold a great edge also.
  2. Great work Matt, and knives that will last a lifetime with care. Remember lads this is Matts living, not a hobby. Try not to knock him down on price, the knives / blades are worth every penny, and more to be honest. Craftsman stuff.

Re-your own shanks You have the chance of splitting the shanks by putting them in a boiler room to try and dry out. To be honest any shank will do, but Hazel, Blackthorn, Holly and Ash tend to prove to be the best.

  8. Extremely good knives Matt, and well thought out design of blades. They are a snip at this price lads.
  9. The photos are not as good as i'd have liked but they give an idea of the work involved.
  10. He has just been here showing me his latest knives, hand forged bowie, and a Damasteel set, but the leather work is as good as the knives.
  11. Take a closer look its poor steel. You get top steel blades on this site for just a few pounds more.
  12. Just leather with no ceramic . I've seen an ancient one, but wondered how it was done.
  13. UnicornLeather,- what would you use, if you were making a leather tankard for drinking from,- to stiffen and waterproof it ?
