Collected my first ever PCP today, all neatley packed in it's box ready for me when I got home from a month away today, A mint used HW100T (.22) came with 4 mags, even though it's blowing a wee bit of a gale here in Fife,I just couldn't resist having a quick go out the back garden, so after I had faffed about getting the scope on etc, I then measured up and set target up at 25 yds, (max I could go due to back garden/car park etc), obviously haven't set up scope as yet, as pic will show I'm a mile off, but that was 1 mag straight off (Jumbo Diablos15.89gr - 5.5mm) thats the pellet recommend

Setting Up A Scope...
Johno2486 replied to Johno2486's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Thanks very much for this info Ghillies, much appreciated, home from Singapore on Thursday, so picking up used (mint) HW100T .22,with Hawke scope so looking forward to getting to grips with it, I know some would say maybe bit 'high end' from the off, & maybe should have went Springer route as I was intending to do, but managed to find good deal on the 100, so just went for it, so here's hoping I take to it relatively quick, I'll keep you poste as to whether I can hit 'anything' the issue wont be the gun it'll be me & my ageing eys...lol -
Setting Up A Scope...
Johno2486 replied to Johno2486's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Thanks guys for all the input, I'll read it a few time let it sink in (hopefully) print it off for referance !! & have a go next week when home, I've downloaded ChairGun onto my phone (will this do or better on LapTop) not that Chair Gun meant much too me as I was looking through it, I take all you guys are using rangefinders for accurate yardage when setting up targets/plumb bobs etc... Feel this could end up being a full morning or afternoon affair..lol -

Setting Up A Scope...
Johno2486 replied to Johno2486's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Thanks Mark, & to everyone else who replied, found it again, original post put up by Grim Reaper, so I'll give it a go, see how I get home, any rifle I have ever borrowed (as in my avatar) has always been set up by someone else, so never done it myself, new to AirGun shooting so keen to be able to do it all myself, if I get stuck & I've doubt I will, I'll just stck post up here...or if anyone knows of anyone locally (Dunfermline/Fife) who would be willing to give hands on instruction that would be great, if not it'll be a baptism of fire & I'll give you all a shout, Thanks Again St -
Hi guys, while I was trawling through the forum (great info on here by the way) I have read a post that someone put up detailing how they zero'd their scope, and I can't seem to find it again? So any help in pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated, as I'll be very soon picking up my 1st PCP, so looking for tips on how to get scope set up correctly, any tips/hints would be appreciated, thanks in advance Steve.

New To Air Rifle Shooting - Springer Of Choice ?
Johno2486 replied to Johno2486's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Thanks there Big Mac and Mark for taking the time to post, great info there so I will take it on-board, totally agree with the part about not going hunting till I was fully up to speed on the handiling characteristics of the gun and could actually hit the target repeatedly. I have read a few posts on here that bears mention to 'tuning' and I did intend to start a post asking if someone could explain to a newbie what was actually involved in a Stage 1 and a Stage 2 tune, and what costs would be involved and more importantly the overall benefit of each, so appreciate if someone could post detai -
New To Air Rifle Shooting - Springer Of Choice ?
Johno2486 replied to Johno2486's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Hi Mark, I really want to be able to cover all really, it will predominantly be used very early morning/dusk, so think that will have some bearing in choice of scope, but the more I read on here the more 'my brain hurts', I'm scouring the adds (while supposed to be working..lol) currently in Singapore so 8hrs ahead of you guys just getting out your beds. I've seen a couple of HW97K & KT in the classifieds, Email sent so see if anyone gets back to me if items still available. I'm looking at .22 at the minute (u could hear a pin drop in the .177 room!) purely based on my expereic -
New To Air Rifle Shooting - Springer Of Choice ?
Johno2486 replied to Johno2486's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Appreciate your coments guys, more food for thought, whats your opinion on the following set up : HW97KT (Springer) fitted with Hawke Eclipse 3-12x50 AO IR Scope ? Thanks in Advance. -
Hi guys, I'm totally new to site & a complete 'virgin' to air rifle shooting, but looking to get into it, primarily for the hunting side of things, rabbit/pigeons/hare etc...So having trawled through numerous reviews/sites etc and after speaking to a couple of people I know who shoot I have decided on going for a Springer as opposed to a PCP, real reason for this is (please feel to correct if info received is incorrect) as I work away from home for weeks at a time, I've been told that there is a risk of the PCP needing seals as it will be left sitting idle for weeks on end - true/f

Hi, my name is Steve, totally new to the forum, I live in Scotland & work offshore out the UK, so limited to the amount of shooting I get done, primarily bit of rough shooting on friends farm land etc, fish the fly when time allows, bred snakes (Royal Pythons) for years acheived my goal of producing a worlds 1st, so started winding the snake side of things down (had over 200 at one point) recently taken up Taxidermy had an interest in it for years, wish I had done it years ago now, love it - steep learning curve but hopefully I'll pick up some tips from some of the talented guys in the UK
