have to hand it to you ian ,NOBODY looks after the lurcher,whippet and terrier people like you lads your a hard act to follow , ALWAYS a great show ,looking forward to it .

Cheers Ged,i think we all have to applaud Derek & Co that runs the Game Fair for giving their full support to the Lurcher & Terrier folk.

best show /game fair i was at last year tho weather had big part to play as it was a scorcher hopefully be the same this year all the best with show .ps the no the free entry into field for terrier lurcher showing is a good gesture but i think everyone should have to pay in and keep the whole fair under one umbrella as gun men fishermen etc are part of country sports as are the terriermen lurcher men so why is it free for there area and no one elses i think it divides us from the rest in a time when we should all be sticking together just my opinion .

Forgot to add he will bring a couple of free SACS memberships as prizes for the show. :thumbs:

It will be good to see you there guss,hopefully the high jump will be well supported this year again but unfortunatley last years winner

It was a very memorable day when Paco cleared 9.5 leaving much bigger and taller dogs on the other side... :victory:

 

You could have heard a pin drop a few seconds before his last jump...Up he went, a little adjustment....And down the far side...

 

The roar was brilliant... :victory: He stood with his tongue out, covered in water and everyone was proud of him

 

Its a shame he cant defend his title...The good dogs go too soon...

      This show will be for Terriers/Lurchers/Whippets/Strong Dogs,  and all the qualifers for Shanes Castle and Birr Castle 2018  have been granted.

      Champion Whippet      £25.00
      Champion Lurcher       £25.00
      Champion Terrier         £25.00
      All of whom qualify for the Five Nations Championships. 
      Plenty of Christmas Spirit at this show, and some great prizes.
      Dessie is putting up £25.00 for Champion Strong Dog and  £25.00 for Champion Bull Cross Lurcher. 
      Some time later in 2018, there will be an Overall  Champion of Champions Bull Cross Lurcher, and the Overall winner will receive the Darren Mackin Perputal Cup, sponsored by Dessie Mackin in honour of his late son who passed away earlier this year.
      The  first qualifier for the Champion of Champions  Bull Cross Lurcher Championship will be held at Dessies Christmas show on Saturday 16th December 17.  
      Always a great Dog Show day out before Christmas, with plenty of food and beverages in Bannvale House Hotel  afterwards. 
      Come along for a day away from Christmas Shopping , and all the trials and tribulations of life, even just for a couple of hours.

      Dessie Mackin has asked me to announce he is having an Irish Bull Cross Champion of Champions in 2018 for Bullcross Lurchers, and any show organisers wishing to obtain a qualifier please PM Dessie for same.  The final for this Championship will be held later on in 2018. Full details later.
