whin 463 Posted December 8, 2011 Report Share Posted December 8, 2011 nice to see the pics what was the qaulity of runs good chases localy if you catch thre strong winter hares you have done well , in some bits , i like seeing lots of good pics but when i see big bags i always think what was the running like to get that many guys ,i never here anbody say had a blinder of a chase its always look at what we caut ,me berst pre ban on big land lamping back in ninties was 12 ares 5 roe early october two salukcrosses and acollie cross a profitable time landowner was happy as they were eating his crops ,broccoli and other crops down over the border when it was legal to run roe hares winter 97 took trebl figures on both but was no big deal as it all counted on the weigh in at wooler Quote Link to post

robert michem 314 Posted December 8, 2011 Report Share Posted December 8, 2011 (edited) dont say much on this site, but i will agree with whin, on this 1, i do beleave at times a good hare dog settles on a race far better than 2 dogs,, but its not just that, it my self will not kill a hare for the sake of it, , this pup i have now,,ok hes knocking them over on the lamp,,not all easy,but iff he can not do hares, in day time,its one of them things,i will live with that, but he,s not going double on them ,just so i can kill a hare, ok when i was a kid all you wanted was to catch it, 1 dog or 4 dogs,lol but now a little older and more respect for my sport,, its no,no doubleing,,,thats the way ive bin, for some years now,,,,, Edited December 8, 2011 by robert michem 1 Quote Link to post
