looking at ianhodgefieldsports and it says the striker with 17ah batt lasts 4.5 hrs and the blitz with 17ah lasts 7 hrs dosent make sense to me is this wrong?

Just buy the blitz/striker reflector, they'll fit on the lance. Plus you'll save a few quid, the replacement reflectors are only about £60.

thanks for the advice but im going to keep the lance as a spare so dont want to alter it

thanks for replys cant decide now looks like its 50/50, variable might be too awkward to use as i have 2 dogs on slips?is it a twist knob on back of lamp?

 

Oh i it does ur head in trying to lamp with 2 dogs on slips. Using variable is no different to just lamping mate u uase ur thumb.

If u lamp quite big land i would defanatly recomend the blitz. If i go out with my mates and use their striker it dose my tits in now lol

I have used both, but find the Blitz catches the wind too easily on an especially windy night...

had both blitz good for big fields but awkward climbing over fences etc,striker spot on for allround thats what im useing now

I've got both, and only use the blitz from a vehicle as it's too big and clumsy for walking and the beam isn't much different to the striker anyway

would say if driving and big fields, big quarry blitz,

 

if walking, specially somewhere you shouldnt striker, the blitz lights up about 3 fields mr farmer more chance of seeing it and dont want to be carrying that on run!

piece of piss using the veriable lamp like said you user your thumb, i have both blitz and striker veriable i mainly use the stricker as its easier to handle. the blitze ight be the ultimate lamp but its also heavy going speciely if your trying to look from the car its like a kite.
